It is an issue, depending on where you’re riding. At very high elevations, the ecosystem is very fragile, and a single bike can do damage that can be seen years later. Most people don’t realize, but a transverse (FWD based) AWD system can normally never distribute more than 50% of the drive torque to the rear due to the placement of the transfer case. The newer systems overcome this by dragging the front brakes. You get (50-21)/(50) torque bias, which roughly equates to 30/70.

I don’t know how it it nationwide, but in the Northwest, particularly around tech centers, I’m seeing a huge increase in the number of adults who are from third world countries and are obviously brand new to driving.

I’d guess that the real reason it didn’t make it to production is that it was created by a company whose primary talent lies in its marketing dept. They probably found out the hard way that OEMs aren’t duped as easily as consumers.
