Last year they had a onesie in the boy’s section that said “Daddy is my hero” and a coordinating bib that said “I’m Mommy’s hero.” Apparently, Mommy doesn’t get to be anyone’s hero. I think that’s mostly on Carters rather than Target, though.

Yes, social media has really upped the pressure. I’ve noticed that a lot of the companies that own both have better drugstore products. I assume the luxury brands are subsidizing the R&D for the drugstore brands.

But people aren’t complaining aren’t complaining about how crappy cheaper lipsticks are. They are complaining about a change the company made to the applicator in the new line that they don’t like. It’s not as if Color Pop applicators have always been an issue. The existence of high end lipstick doesn’t mean that

I think this is less true than it used to be. The Drug Store brands have largely upped their game. My favorite lip color is an $8 Revlon product. I’ve never found anything at Sephora that comes to close to the color, finish, and longevity. I can get one or two but not all 3.

I love the Stila Liquid Lipsticks but they also cost 4x as much as the Color Pop ones. That’s not worth it or accessible for some folks.

That’s true. It bothers me more on Jezebel than it does in the general internet but it’s just as pervasive in the general internet.

There's a small, vocal portion of Jezzies who will jump at any opportunity to hate children.

Isn't it just the French spelling of Amy?

Mass has special elections, the governor doesn’t get to appoint but I think we’re better served by Warren in the senate than anywhere else.

I wanted to google something related to this and I came up with the following: 97% of teachers in Massachusetts (where I teach) are white, there is a lower percentage of teachers of color now than there were pre-1954, and “In some American cities, the odds that a Black male student will be taught by a Black male

We paid $380 including fees for two tickets. The “nice” seats are wicked expensive but decent seats are still “only” $180.

They released tickets through next spring right after the Tonys. Hopefully by the time the next release comes around demand will have died down a bit.

That’s below face value. You should negotiate for $380-400. That way you have a chance of actually getting face value tickets.

I am way sadder about these two leaving than I was about Lin and Phillipa leaving. Oh, well. Somehow I think they’ll be able to to find competent people to fill the roles. My tickets are for February and I am still super stoked.

The game? No it does not work. I’ve walked three quarters of a mile to nearest gym twice today and both times I couldn’t get the game to load when I got there. I gave up trying to get the game to run while I walked there because I had to sign in 4 or 5 times in the first quarter mile. If it were any other game I would

Eh, maybe by the time you’re able to play it will actually work?

I am super jealous. I walked almost a mile to get to the nearest gym and then the game wouldn’t load! It’s so buggy I’m about ready to give up.

The rent controlled apartments cost $2,000 a month! Ouch. The median household income is $80,090. I can’t imagine paying 2k in rent on $64k/yr.

I’ve only heard of one annulment being rejected. A college friend of my dad’s left his wife of 20 years for one of his students. The new girlfriend wanted a big white wedding in her local Catholic Church. Part of the paperwork for the annulment is getting people to send letters on your behalf saying you should be

Ours never told us how many kids they had. I regret not being enough of a smart ass to ask.
