Your problem is that you have too many friends. I don’t know 26 people well enough to be invited to their weddings. It’s cheaper that way.

That must be subsidized in some way. That’s the cheapest daycare for 2 kids I’ve ever heard of! That’s about $24 per kid, per day.

The $800 are resale. The theater and Miranda aren’t getting that money. People who snapped them up and Stub Hub are making bank on it.

Women are specifically not allowed to get the GI cut.

According to IMDB she’s only in 1 of the 4 episodes.

I don’t think that Americans would behave any differently in the same circumstances. Given our own history of irrational hysteria around terror attacks, interment camps, and our current treatment of rape victims, it’s laughable that any commenter thinks we would.

This makes sense to me. My racist cousin was an HR exec for CVS for a long time. From the way she talked it seems like many of the higher ups thought this way. (This might just be true of people in her position in general rather than specific to CVS, though.)

She has slightly more hair in the 2.5 month pic than my nearly 2 year old does now.

Has Sanders said anything about K-12 education? He hadn’t on Super Tuesday (which is part of why I didn’t vote for him).

That's a solid point.

The 100 kills off regular characters all the time. Most of Clarke’s previous love interests are dead, too. I agree that overall this a major issue in LGBT representation but I'm not sure The 100 is a good example.

I can’t wait to get out and I teach at one of the “good” ones.

I teach in Western Mass and the salaries don’t keep up with the COL the way they do back east. It doesn’t really matter since barely anyone I graduated with was able to get a job in a public school. We’re all stuck at privates and charters.

You didn’t say Baltimore, you said Maryland. I thought we were comparing Connecticut public schools to Maryland public schools. Maryland’s are better on average and Connecticut’s achievement gap is larger. I am well aware that there is a big difference between Montgomery and Baltimore counties.

Maryland public schools are usually rated #2 in the nation.

It’s worth noting that the Netflix policy only affected their white collar workers. The folks who were hourly still get crap.

I’m wearing a 38DD bra from Aerie right now. I’m pretty sure that is the biggest size they make, though.

The federal government has more power than ever over local schools, though. The Obama administration doubled-down on the privatization-friendly policies the Bush had in place. Things like getting actual federal funding for federal mandates goes a long way.

Sanders has no K-12 platform at all. I find that terrifying.
