I came upon a homeless man peeing in an alley in DC once. He apologized to me. It was a surreal experience all around.

At least a third of births in the US are via c-section. Everyone who gets a c-section gets an opioid prescription. That wouldn't account for all of it but it's got to be a factor.
I know multiple new mothers who are so obsessed with trying to feel the way this woman describes that they won't let anyone (including their partners) help them. They are so consumed with this concept of "motherhood" that they see every episode of "shit happens" as a personal failure. And let me tell you, having a…
I think it's a pretty common color combination for preppy types. I have a mint dress with coral polka dots on it.
How old is your daughter?
Youll only wear them for maybe a month and theyre totally not worth the price
The person who taught my Ed 101 class was a retired principal from the district where this happened. When we went over mandatory reporting she basically told us never rock the boat and don't "upset people." It was the most horrified I've ever been by a teacher/professor.

Where? I grew up Catholic and women breastfed in church all the time. My sister-in-law did it every week for years. I'd be astonished if American Catholics were more accepting of breastfeeding than European ones.
It could be. I had student who got horrible swollen hives from hand sanitizer but I think it was the triclosan , not the alcohol.
I've had 4th graders who still believed in Santa. These kids are old enough to know what they were planning was wrong but not old enough to understand the concept of "conspiracy to..."
Seriously, I have had multiple students named Cade who had major behavior problems.
Local papers are still so, so important. Local politics in a place like Frederick aren't going to be covered by the Washington Post or the national media. If you don't live in a major metro area local papers are still the best (and often only) way to know what's going on and what your elected officials are up to.
My in-laws really love the Urbana Carnival. I have heard people at the Urbana Carnival use "yonder" without any sense of irony. I had left my job on K Street early to be there and it felt like I had traveled through time and space to another dimension.
