The standard should remain the same - proof beyond a reasonable doubt. Being convicted of sexual assault can ruin your life, and I'm not comfortable with the state having the authority to incarcerate people without sufficient evidence that they did, in fact, commit a crime.

Exactly. My city recently had a scandal where the University was caught trying to cover up that some of their football players were getting all rapey. The local PD is taking some flak even though they had nothing to do with it because the University never reported the sexual assaults.

Rape is a crime, and like any crime, should be reported to law enforcement. Universities are not law enforcement.
