But we don't know what Zimmerman did before the confrontation, and whether or not Trayvon feared (reasonably) that Zimmerman was going to use unlawful force.

Not really. You have to be attacked before you stand your ground, as specified in the law.
NO U
"completely"
He was licensed to carry concealed and was not acting as a member of the neighborhood watch at that time.
Zimmerman was (is) an overzealous wannabe cop. The whole situation is sad. The real blunder was the police not fully investigating the case. If they had, we likely would have a lot more evidence and we wouldn't have to speculate.
It's possible that he is racist, but it doesn't really matter in the context of the trial.
That says "attacked" the one you posted before says "imminent use of unlawful force". I think this means that the second one you posted would have to have Zimmerman attacking Trayvon. Under the first one, Trayvon would simply have to fear that Zimmerman would use unlawful force. I don't know, I'm not a lawyer.
It suggests it.
Well, according to Zimmerman, Trayvon was beating his head into the sidewalk. We don't know whether or not this is true, but it seems to be, based on the lacerations on the back of his head.
It would be weird if he didn't have a bullet in the chamber. Also: the Kel-Tec PF9 that Zimmerman was carrying does not have an external safety. Your whole comment ignores a shitload of evidence.
So the question is whether or not Zimmerman's actions indicated an imminent use of unlawful force.
Police dispatchers are not sworn officers and cannot give binding orders. The dispatcher said "we don't need you to do that" which is not an order.
Trayvon didn't have any injuries (except for one) but Zimmerman did. You do have a valid point though, it's completely possible that Zimmerman initiated the confrontation by flashing his firearm or shoving Martin.
Well, Zimmerman had a broken nose, and minor lacerations on the back of his head, there was also testimony that Martin was on top of Zimmerman. Either situation is possible.
Great, personal attacks. Way to make your argument stronger.
Broken nose.
Zimmerman said Trayvon was looking into the windows of houses. Don't know if that's true though. Zimmerman was completely within his rights to question Trayvon as well. Sure, it kind of a dick move, but he's still legally allowed to do it, and I don't think that someone questioning me is really all that aggressive.…
GZ didn't assault him though, and his firearm was concealed.
I don't know. I'm not too knowledgeable about these sorts of things.
