THANK YOU! I'm getting so tired of walking on eggshells because I dare to not be offended that every game isn't equally partitioned with NPCs and main character representing every race and gender.

Some white males aren't getting uppity because the status quo is being challenged, they are getting uppity because of the irritating arguments that are being made around this.
That's so true. Patricia slowed down a lot after all the death/rape threats she was getting because anonymous people are awful. :/
What the hell is it with representing people and getting represented? I've played so many games as characters which can't even be considered human beings. Every time I see a new game, I'll look at the gameplay, graphics and plot (These 2 are dependent on genre). If I like it, I buy it, if not, too bad. In any market,…
It's insanity. Yes people have the right to be offended, but everyone seems to be coming off as a delicate little flower in regards to the stupidest perceived slights against race/sex/creed X.
Actually that's not at all what they said. That's what you're making up...here's the perfectly reasonable response he gave.
The backlash women get for expressing any sort of views like this in the gaming community can be crazy. Everyone has to pick their battles, I guess.
I'm not white nor am I a man and I don't need a character that fits my exact sex and race to be able to identify with them. After all, that would be sexist/racist of me. As for representation - when there are more minorities than white heterosexual men buying and developing games, we'll see more of them.
As a lady-gamer (yes i am game yes i play girl) it might be nice to play a few more ladies! Tomb raider and lolly pop chainsaw get a bit drab (TR is great tho) I don't mind the males, but I can understand that the largest market for games are boys, and to appease the market making male characters is the easiest and…
Maybe they're refusing to talk to anyone because whenever they've tried to explain it previously instead of acting impartially everyone has just screamed about 'lies' and 'sexism' instead of weighing the arguments of both sides. I can't blame them for being tired of trying to explain their side.
Find it weird how Dead Island trailer was so serious, that even gamer parents had a tough time watching it, the Dead Island 2 trailer was more of a funny apocalypse, I that guy who got out of the Van was clearly Jack Black, cuz it sounded like him.
1319 comments? They trimmed that down. That was 2,200+ comments lat time I checked. All this is Sony and SE's fault for lifting us up like an angel after begging for 3 years for the game to come to Vita then dropping us off a sea of fire a few minutes later. lol
Bought a Vita for Persona 4 and I've spent tons of time between that and final fantasy 10hd I just wish there was more support for it. After e3 I can pretty much say that the Vita is dead
No... I'll be buying a Wii U when all these promised games actually start coming out. I'm sure I'll get a Smash Bundle or Bayonetta 2 bundle or something, but don't feel the need to own a Wii U right this moment.
It's not as bad as when every protagonist ever started looking like Vin Diesel, but it's still not a great situation if you ask me.
I suppose it would be too much to ask that developer make the game they want without fear of backlash. I'm all for women in games. There's a wealth of stories and situations to explore, and I hope there are more games that center around women in the future. However, putting game makers into a situation in which they…
Hey i know, how about stop fucking telling artist what their fucking vision needs to be. You do NOT need to equally represent genders in video games. If the writer sees their character as a male or female, so be it. Stop trying to force a quota. Theres some moron in the comments claiming that purposefully excluded a…
