Since the T-Bolt is literally sentient chaos magic, Mike finding the pen and using it is almost a given.

You’re assuming anyone who resists the brainwashing are Trumpers and the like.
Cindy was committed to doing what it took to becoming part of the Injustice Society and winning the respect of her father, but both seem pretty off the table at the moment
Black Lightning also has some pretty impressive needle drops, maybe even better than Stargirl, so it can be done on a CW show budget.
When I saw Mike playing with the drill, and Sportsmaster showing up, I had a feeling Mike was going to save Pat with it.
Even though I expected it, it was still petty damn awesome to have the kid save his dad by jamming the drill into Crock.
I’ve seen some clunky exposition in my time, but Brainwave standing timer telling Icicle his own plan takes the biscuit. Speaking of Brainwave being an ass, sure Henry, why don’t you blame every teenage girl you can find for ‘making you’ murder your own son. Let me guess, Yolanda’s next.
From those two names I have no idea which team is which
Think that would be cool, but I get the feeling we may see the heel turn come from Icicle in the finale.
It seems like they could manage the budget pretty easily by getting rid of the really expensive songs they’ve been using. Or are those not expensive?
25 million deaths make it pretty cut and dry. ...but what if it hadn’t been 25 million? What if it had been 25? (Especially considering that those 25 would die from resisting so hard against acting like responsible, decent humans)
Haha, yes, at the beginning, Mike was complaining about being treated like a kid while playing with the powerdrill every time Pat tried to converse. “Then, stop acting like a baby!!” and 5 minutes later he was becoming the episode MVP by playing with that same drill.
I just loved the vibe from the scene where Cindy visited Courtney when she was laid up in her room & had a heart to heart with her like they were BFFs, while also fucking with her head & leaving with a casual threat. That vibe for them has such great potential I think
She seems really committed to being evil. I think she’ll get to be the big bad at least once before this show is over. Something like Merlyn in Arrow, who ended up being a powerful ally just about as much as he continued to be a devastating enemy and never to be fully trusted nor distrusted?
Some of my observations:
- didn’t care for Mike at the beginning - rightfully complaining about not being told anything, then when Pat tries to, complains he’s being treated like a kid and blows him off.
- I dug Crusher’s bouncing the baseball bat behind his back, that was a kickass move.
- I like the mom’s arc, not just…
Of course, the ONE big plus of it being on the CW is they cancel almost nothing. If they are bringing back Batwoman with very mediocre ratings and after losing the star of that show, Stargirl will run eight seasons.
I 100% agree. The biggest fear is what happened when Supergirl was taken over by the CW and it “arrowversed” it, ruining really what made it so different and why so many people fought against CBS cancelling it and wanted it saved. The big fear everyone has with this show is the fact DC obviously spent gobs of money on…
A Cindy semi-face-turn where she becomes a Huntress-like ally to the team while still morally pretty grey would make me so happy
The production value on Injustice Cerebro was spectacular. Gonna miss that DCU budget if it goes full CW...
Cancel culture has existed in America ever since the Red Scare. Colin Kaepernik was a victim of cancel culture when Fox treated him like a national traitor because he refused to stand during the national anthem. Janet Jackson was a victim of cancel culture due to the Super Bowl incident even though that was far more…
Cancel culture... I love how right wingers whine about this, especially with everything they have sought to censor or ban over the years.
