Only reason I can think of is that MS threw a shitload of money at them. Which is probably exactly what happened.

As an aside, I worked with a guy who was a QA tester for God of War. He couldn't STAND that game by the time it was released... :)
The really grueling days are when you're trying to go Gold with a game. Especially if it has to hit a target date (like with a movie tie-in). My longest day ever as a tester was 45 hours. Seriously almost two days straight of testing. And it was for the Happy Feet (the dancing penguin movie) game... It was not fun,…
Speaking as a QA tester for many years, in my experience you'll rarely touch the games you worked on again. I never lost any desire to play other (non-broken) games though.
There are times when you're playing regular games though that you start bug hunting though. I found a place to get out of the world in a game I was…
Well, nobody had heard of the Matrix or Star Wars when they were released either. Sometimes movies are just popular because they're good/fun. :)
That Titanfall one is brilliant. It's great to get those kills by accident, but when you can actually sucker your opponent into walking right into it... SO so worth it.
Yeah, I mean... who enjoyed Halo, amirite?
Do you have any figures that support the statement "most of the people that pirate games end up buying them down the line"? I'm guessing you do not.
For us, the one true was is THACO. With "THAC" rhyming with "black" and then "O" as in "oh" not zero. :)
I also have to include this song... which is another favorite, but for an entirely different reason. Written as an imagination of what his neighbors must think living next to him... :)
God I love Tom Waits...
Sadly you're probably right. Although the first one shouldn't be too much of a problem... unless you all start in Titans? Otherwise it's easy to get away from a group as a Pilot... I'm assuming the opposing team will always be able to see where the "Marked" player is though? Like someone with the flag in a CTF game?
For me, the trouble with the Toy Box levels are that it just gave you a play area. You really couldn't set up tasks and such (at least not in my experience). So while it was fun to drop in and look around... there ultimately wasn't that much to do in the levels...
I'm assuming this wasn't their intention, but why can't we get a Mister Fantastic that moves like that?
X
That is some weird Liefeld-esque lower body thing going on...
I'd just like to take a moment for a quick MMO related non-sequitur: I miss City of Heroes.
See... THAT'S the game they should make. Master Chief just kicking the ever-loving bejeesus out of some little baby evil.
That's not true at all... you can TOTALLY floop your burn cards.
