@kainzero: Actually that was a million gaming tournaments and it's been happening for close to a decade. I'm not sure who was featured in a 'documentary' though?

I feel like this has the possibility to be awesome. Also, it has the possibility of being absolutely terrible. Either way, I'll keep an eye on it!
Reading these comments are weird, because I've had zero issues playing the post-launch beta with a friend. Strange.
God I miss the old adventure game manuals (and included goodies). They were usually awesome and hilarious, with multiple in-game tie-ins and with interesting insights into the game-world. Plus they were usually really pretty.
I actually kind of want this.
I really, really dig this pricing plan. Seems like the people who don't understand the pay for 20 hours of play option must be pretty hardcore (or not so casual) MMO players.
@Utmost Nutszo: The only micro-transactions are PvP-related one-time buys - aka you can pay a small fee to unlock all abilities for your PvP ncharacters instead of going throughai the main game and unlocking them individually. I'm heavily, heavily against micro-transactions (and monthly subs) and Guild Wars was a…
Hasn't GameTap made games like The Secret of Monkey Island and other older games browser-based for a long time now? Is there something I am missing?
I have what looks to be that exact carpet. And it sure is comfy.
@HowIsYourFlat: Ah, for some reason I assumed people knew what MLG was. MLG is a competitive gaming tournament that hosts Halo 3 competitions and has tens of thousands of fans. A lot of people are pretty obsessed with the highest ranked players, going so far as to pay to be on their friends lists, play games with…
Hahaha. "You tattle-taled, so you're uninvited to my birthday party!"
Some of the comments here really disgust me. The fact that one of Kotaku's writers saw fit to write an entire article about this - and went so far as to suggest she might have an eating disorder (read: mental illness) disgusts me even more. Some women are naturally skinny. Yup, THAT skinny. Without trying. Some of…
@Optrirominiluikus: All GoG games are set up to run normally on newer operating systems. I've purchased multiple older games I still own from the site just to save the headache of getting them to run efficiently.
"Speaking for myself, I'm really not eager to go out and learn an entirely new skill set for a so-called "hardcore" game, in which I don't already know basic shooter survival technique: You know, here's how I look around, here's how I move, here's how I don't get shot, here's how I shoot. From what I've seen of the…
I can't understand why people aren't as excited for 3D as I am. People keep talking about how it needs something 'more' to be a worthwhile successor to the DS, but I'd be ecstatic simply with 3D gaming that was truly effective. 3D gaming, when done well, can be a completely different and superior experience. At least,…
I have nooo idea what this game is about but the developers have got themselves a customer.
Age of Booty is a lot of fun if you have someone you can play with regularly (roommate, partner, etc). My boyfriend and I play it all the time and we've had it for a couple of years. It's an entertaining little time waster.
@Indiedog: "If the addition of a playable female character does not add to the overall game experience, developers often omit the playable female character because the return on the investment of time, money, and effort are not worthwhile. "
This seems a little shady, seeing as many other games that tote their characters as 'highly customizable' are able to include female characters, as limited in number as those may be. Mass Effect was a pretty huge game - how come you could be such a highly detailed character in that? Fable 2? Morrowind on Xbox - a…
I am so so glad that this happened to one of the 'high ups' of Xbox Live. This has happened to a LOT of people I know (big names in the MLG community, which some kids go crazy for), it has been going on for literal years, and Microsoft has continued to deny that there is a problem, despite frequent police and bank…
