Nothing you’re saying there is wrong at all, but I don’t see any of it conflicting with the idea that calling the police was right in this case. So honestly yeah it’s not correct to say “In this day and age, you do NOT CALL THE COPS ON SOMEONE with a suicidal episode.” There are lots of cases where you shouldn’t but

The Burrows is balanced to be a challenge for 2+ level 50+” that’s what it was described as. Totally not an over-promising content, just people thought it was end game content and they found it it wasn’t. My whole group was over 130+ lvl. And everyone I saw was over 50+ lvl.

Trying real hard. Do you have P.O box that I can send my dear big macs to?

I get why she was banned. American company American rules, but the whole idea that the whole planet is supposed to know and follow the cultural norms of the Anglo-sphere is absurd. Not only absurd but based rooted in the very same imperialist ideas that made colonials so certain that they were the cultured ones,

In his mind, that’s not murder - that’s self defense, and just punishment of the criminal. That’s how “pro life” people can enthusiastically support the death penalty, but be horrified by abortion: for them it is all about who is innocent, who is guilty, and who should be punished.

Exactly. I rolled my eyes hard when the article talked about using them as an edge in PvP. PvP is over on seconds, and gear breakage is not even on the radar there. The real gain is to be able to keep repairing a good weapon during a SB Queen fight instead of switching to a backup or stepping out to repair. Perhaps

I’ve read this twice and I’m still not entirely sure what the point of this rant is. That people prefer comfort food over new stuff? Well, sure. That’s been the case since TV began. (And I’ll always have a Law & Order on when I’m doing chores.) Netflix wants people to stay home and watch Netflix? Well, duh. It’s hard

But cheese and fried chicken ... simply do not mix.

But they did do something. Yes they didn’t act immediately but once the right people got the evidence in their possession changes happened. What could’ve happened also however is that the victim could’ve listened to SGS’s bad advice and not taken it further, believing EA could do nothing, and then no justice at all

I did walk away, as I wasn’t qualified to help and the police had reported it and moved towards the person.

Except it’s not. Your examples of abuse being ignored are ones where the people being accused of abuse are the same as those who are perpetuating it, in which case yes simply passing it up the chain is a questionable move.

Except I literally state my responsibility is to pass it on to the relevant authority... which you know, would require me telling people about the abuse. You seem very intent to try and make it out like I’m saying “stay silent and don’t say anything at all” just to make yourself look better here.

He could’ve handled it better in some of his comments but on the flipside this is someone out of the blue suddenly sending him a lot of very severe allegations via a not exactly “PR/company” social media account and asking him to deal with it.

No, it’s not. My responsibility in that circumstance is passing along the required information to the relevant authority, not taking matters into my own hands.

Would you be comfortable telling them you aren’t qualified to intervene because your technical skills lie elsewhere?

So yet another person with influence using that to abuse those in the community they claim to represent? S.S.D.D.

I don’t know how to respond that, only to say, I think other people see my point.

They have no incentive to make it good only to push cards.”

You guys do realize that Notch hasn’t been involved with Minecraft for over 2 years right? Microsoft purchased it from Notch and his old company for around 2 billion dollars. So saying it’s “time to quit Minecraft” literally makes no sense.
