Um no, Microtransactions are absolutely needed for Free-to-Play games or else they couldn’t exist. I’m not strictly talking about Triple-AAA titles here or that they should exist universally or need to exist for any situation, but for specific ones they have a use and are needed.

Sure, I just don’t get why this guy’s so gung-ho able it being intentional.

I understand the whole dopamine thing, but, at least to me, I feel like that’s essentially video games anyway, and really it’s just everything anyway. Microtransactions don’t inherently create a dopamine reaction, just when they are “gamified” as loot boxes/card packs/etc does it become a muddy issue. So really, the

I’m all for better awareness and transparency for loot boxes and things of their ilk(even though I don’t agree that they’re the same as gambling), but I would like to see some concentrated scientific research in the its harmful effects with a general consensus in the scientific community supporting it before any kind

yeah, to me it felt like a final culmination of everything up to that point.

People either don’t remember the DS3 very well or never played it, because the microtransactions in DS3 were not a focus at all. There were tons of supplies and equipment in the game, so you never needed to buy it and even if you wanted to buy them you actively had to seek it out in the menus. It never actually got in

It’s definitely a human psychology thing. Consumer habits always gravitate towards the popular things. Then everyone tries to emulate what’s popular and you get an oversaturation of games building an ocean of noise.

Bare minimum, there should be an exit save option.

What the fuck, man. He didn’t release it, he fumbled with it to try to grab it. It was an accident. He wasn’t paying attention to his grip because he looking at and talking to somebody. To him, he just turned his head and suddenly the trophy was slipping from his hand and he fumbled it. Why are you making something

You can see his headset microphone hits the top of the trophy when he turns his head. It was an accident.

That’s not what I asked. I asked if he would reference the “dishonorable” coin toss if he had won. It would have been just as dishonorable to him if he had won or lost if he actually thought it was dishonorable and not just an excuse because he lost.

But that’s not really what he said in his tweet. He said he made American history and that he was exclusive via a coin toss is dishonorable. #blackhistorymonth. His tweet really doesn’t have much to do with black history month, so throwing it on there at the end feels a little like someone playing the race card. If he

But then wouldn’t they have nominated a white guy instead of a white woman and black guy 50-50? And then they put it to a 50% chance that the black guy could get picked. Seems like if the committee were racist they really made it too easy for him to possibly win.

But “could” is still completely false. As is “Fries” and “cure baldness”. Every single word in that statement is completely false.

Yeah, the thing is, most of those are really just general design changes and not really “cut backs”. the ones that are “cut backs” of almost entirely because of the enormous increase to the number of zombies on screen and nobody caring about the pedantically tiny details. Like the post-death physics on enemies is neat

What do you mean I can’t bring my emotional support turkey on the plane! Is it because I won’t share?

Most of these Terms and COnditions in there were actually already in place, and they don’t really enforce them against normal users. They are mostly there to combat people who attempt to circumvent and abuse the system regularly.

Would this apply to games that aren’t purchased, but have loot boxes, like a bunch of free-to-play games? And if you buy currency you aren’t technically directly buying a loot box either, so isn’t all this just not going to work at all?

I stopped at 111 words 5 day in, can I still make it?

You just said No and repeated exactly what he said.
