Can we also please stop talking about how the terrorists "messed with the wrong city" this time? (As if there's a right one...?) I'm talking to you Tagggg Romney! We're not going to start a rumble or anything.

Bingo. I hate that "others have it so much worse" response. It's irrelevant. And it's not a human suffering contest either. People everywhere can face tragedies simultaneously and it doesn't take away or add to individual suffering.

Okay but as someone who has been on the receiving end of these "go getters," I honestly feel like I'm on a job interview instead of a date. I can see them mentally checking off boxes when they ask me pre-selected questions. If you like me genuinely, then great! If the feeling is returned, date we will do!

I had somebody tell me once that some bad thing that happened was "God's will." I was all, "Oh really? Because clearly it's God's will that you have crappy eyesight and yet you were glasses to correct it. Clearly it's God's will for us to die of small box yet we get vaccinated. Clearly it's God's will for us to

“We wanted to create a site where women have the power and the choice.”

Dove is being pretty sneaky about this. I liked what they were doing, and I was all on board until they decided to give women a complex about their armpits. (That's certainly a part of my body I never bothered with aside from shaving.)

Agreed. Plus there are so many other tragedies — Stalin, Khmer Rouge, Rwanda, Darfur (ongoing!), Slobodan Milosevic Idi Amin, the six million that died in the Democratic Republic of Congo in the back to back civil wars less than 20 years ago! — that people just don't have empathy about this stuff. They don't THINK.

BINGO!

Why? The whole reason employers don't want workers talking about wages amongst each other is so they can justify this BS. If they truly, honestly thought they were paying a fair wage, then transparency would be immaterial, no? A driving reason women don't make as much or don't ask for as much or don't negotiate is

I can see Rubio's point though, although I disagree with almost everything he says. If special favors were given so these two could go to Cuba (when everyone else is prohibited or has to go through Canada), then yes that's a problem. And if they did get special favors to get in the country, then that's messed up

I never used the word outfit in my post.

In terms of it being sexual? No. Old people griping about "kids today?" Yes.

What about the guys who have their panties hanging out from their bigass pants? I went to middle school in the early 90s and SK8TERS were all the rage. Everything was oversized. I saw about 6-8 inches of "intimate apparel" almost every damn day. I still see a lot of that today at least on schoolchildren who ride

He was totally trying to help, y'all! He's just being a rebel — a rebel that bucks the system that tries to tell him that owning and beating people IS WRONG!

We're still pickin' up the pieces, walkin' on eggshells, fightin' over yesterday

What is with the random capitalization?!?!? They're not writing in German!

Please, for the love of God, post this. I beg you.

She hasn't done a good job of directing money where it needs to go.

Watch the first 10 minutes of Get Him To the Greek. That's what celebrity philanthropy reminds me of.

This is the problem with celebrity charities: transparency. When you run your own show, I shudder to think "tax shelter" all the while reaping the PR benefits of a humanitarian undertaking. That's why I think so many celebrities do their own thing rather than go through a trusted, established charity.
