Console failure sucks too. But graphics cards are a fucking racket, and rampantly overpriced. I’m tired of replacing them every two or three years.

I tend to dislike cooldowns in general - I prefer MP or energy meters over cooldowns - but that’s just a personal thing.

This post just reminds me that my stupid graphics card died last week and my PC is essentially worthless now. PC gaming is just...ugh.

Well, Destiny’s shooting is essentially Halo’s, but with dumb cooldowns for everything. So while its core shooting mechanics are indeed better than Warframe’s, it’s hard for me to ignore how much the melee adds to the experience. In that regard, I feel like the comparison is kind of a wash.

Prison of Elders is going to be a Horde Mode-style arena against annoying Nightfall-level enemies. Just watch.

You know, you can disagree with me if you want. But at least be civil about it, man. I didn’t attack YOU.

Not really, no. Haven’t played it for a while, mainly because I have other games demanding my attention and I’m moving in a few weeks.

Tight deadline? Are you kidding me? They had six years to make this game. They had no excuse for releasing it in the shoddy, half-finished state they did. And they definitely have no excuse for charging $20 for expansions with half an hour of story content a pop.

Who said anything about giving up on it during the beta? I spent $90 on the retail release, including that stupid joke of a Season Pass. And I bought it digitally, so I couldn’t even trade it in or sell it to get my money back after the game crashed and burned.

And yet here’s the clincher. Warframe didn’t charge 60 bucks. It is what it is and it is what it is for FREE.

I don’t care about the raid specifically. I care about the fact that Bungie is pathologically incapable of following through on anything they promise when it comes to this game.

Not quite what I’m getting at. Warframe is a ridiculous grind as well. Anyone who’s played it knows that.

That’s the point. Warframe isn’t a good game, and it still entertained me more than Destiny. Because it didn’t waste $90 of my money.

I expect fail from Bungie nowadays because Destiny was such a colossal disappointment that I lost every ounce of respect I’ve had for them since the Myth days. They have to earn that shit back, and halfassed expansion packs full of grindy nonsense are NOT helping their case.

Some people have addictive personalities. Some people are willing to run around and around and around on a loot treadmill for hours and hours despite the lack of guaranteed rewards.

Horde Mode is in every game under the sun nowadays. Adding that and acting like it’s somehow a substitute for the gaping hole that is the game’s main story progression is essentially a joke.

Let me do some math for you.

Raids suck in MMOs, and they suck in Destiny. I have zero interest in funneling hours and hours of my time into a loot slot machine that will reward me with absolutely nothing of value.

No there isn’t. There’s going to be the same level of effort (IE zero) that went into the main game and expansion 1 when it comes to non-raid content.

I spent $90 on this goddamn game. The product I received wasn’t even worth as much as I’ve paid for Warframe, which does almost everything Destiny tries to do, but with more success and more style.
