The point is that PSN is "down" very rarely, and the "OMG IT'S DOWN SO OFTEN" bullshit is just Microsoft FUD that gets spewed out of the marketing machine to make PSN seem like a bad service. It's really not down often at all.

So much effort goes into the art for these games. If only they put that much effort into anything else about the games, maybe they'd be more entertaining to play.

Seriously, I never understood why that little yellow rat - a pre-evolution form, no less - got so much publicity in a game where Charizard is obviously king alpha.

CHARIZARD 4 LYFE, YO

You haven't met Nintendo fanboys then. Or did you just conveniently leave out the legendary Twilight Princess "8.8" controversy? That's the thing, you're looking at all of these examples of Sony stuff because your argument is "lol sony fanboys are the worst". But the fact is, you could find examples like that of

Ultraman's kind of like Bizarro, but in terms of personality instead of power set, if that makes sense. He's literally the polar opposite of everything Supes is.

That's kind of the point. Ultraman's entire character is just "bad Superman". Very little thought is put into why. Usually he's straight-up like an "alternate universe" Superman where everyone who was good is bad now and everyone who was bad is good now. Like the Ultraman in Crisis on Two Earths.

Not quite. In my experience, Ultraman is usually interpreted as Superman who's gone mad with power. Overman seems to be Kal-El, but raised through the lens of German oppression, nationalism and prejudice. Essentially, he is The Ubermensch - the ultimate Nazi ideal of German "purity" and superiority. Which is why

Seems like a perfectly logical story to tell. Superman's story has always been one of nature vs. nurture. His goodness isn't inherent to his nature, it's a side-effect of the way he was raised and the lessons the Kents taught him.

#notyourshield was a hashtag designed by the scum-sucking channer pieces of garbage who manipulated GamerGate for the sole purpose of deflecting criticism via manipulating the good intentions of women who didn't understand what was going on. It's not a sign GamerGate is more diverse than their opposition, it was a

I don't think it would really cost that much extra. For example, if a game was going to have nine playable characters to begin with, it wouldn't cost them any extra for four of them to be women. And it wouldn't cost them any extra to design them with some self-respect instead of making them look like slutty runway

Considering the fact that Master Xehanort's Japanese voice actor died last month as well, I think we can count on MX being changed somehow for KH3. Using Terranort (carrying on the spirit and will of MX) as the main villain of KH3 would be a good way to have Sora have his final showdown with a Xehanort who can

gamergates assertions that all the opposition has is a bunch of white saviors circle jerking to their white diversity

I really don't care why other people like it. Like I said in my post, this comment wasn't meant to invite people to explain why they think I'm wrong. It's just sharing why the genre isn't for me.

There are like five different incarnations of Xehanort at this point. Old Man MX has served his purpose in the plot and "died" when he merged with Terra. The version of MX from Dream Drop Distance was plucked out of the time stream.

And I don't play sports and I don't like watching sports. Hence why the repetition holds no value for me.

Lena Dunham is pretty? When the hell did that happen?

And have you ever considered the fact that maybe the reason only white heterosexuals are talking about this is because minority voices like Black people and LGBT people are even more marginalized and excluded by the industry that none of them are willing to speak up?

And then you'd have even more racists and transphobes and every other breed of bigot under the sun crawling out of the darkness to destroy her life too.

I'm not saying we shouldn't have more diverse faces in the discussion. I'm saying that SHOUTING DOWN THE VOICES WE ALREADY HAVE is stopping other people from wanting to get involved.
