I don't even like Anita. I think a lot of her citations lack actual research and show that she's got only a surface-level understanding of how games work. Or that she has a team doing her research for her and takes what they tell her at face value and makes an argument off of that.

League of Legends players? Angry?

She's calling for more respectful treatment of female characters in games. More diversity. More options. More choices. That doesn't take anything away from games. At all.

None of these things are her views. They're common sense. She's not saying "every game needs to have a character who looks exactly like me, talks exactly like me and is never hurt or wounded in any way shape or form by mean mean men", she's saying "hey, let's treat women in games the same way we treat men in games:

GG has a lot to say about everything. And almost none of it makes any sense.

All of these things are fair and rational requests to make. Can't see any reason anyone would have a problem with any of them.

A lot of what she's saying certainly makes sense. In games that feature multiple playable protagonists, it is absolutely silly to have no female characters at all or just one token lady that has to be a stand-in for the entire gender. When I was producing an improv show last year, I made it an absolute rule to have

I think gacha in general is disgusting. My friends are making me play Chain Chronicle with them and it's just the same shit as every other gacha game but with a slightly different, slightly more annoying battle system. And way too many lolis. :(

There's no map or dungeons, it's all menu driven, and you're basically going through a library reliving memorable moments from past FF games. Completing certain missions adds characters from those games to your roster.

Yet another gacha-based IAP-laden mobile game. It's insulting how stupid Japanse mobile developers think players are. And it's depressing how often impatient mobile gamers prove them right. Square just released two of these things in the past week and now they're releasing ANOTHER

The Deadshot mission in Arkham City was fine. But man, is that character pointless. I don't understand why DC/WB is so attached to the whole Suicide Squad idea. It would make a terrible movie and an even worse video game.

The "major loss" he suffered in Arkham City would've hurt more if he actually reacted to it and didn't spend the entire ending acting like the Joker was his dead girlfriend.

That'd be kind of amazing. Batman has been skirting the line between rational and irrational for decades now. It'd be hilarious if some rogue part of his mind broke off and decided to take the vigilante shtick that one step further that Batsy's always been afraid to attempt.

I don't think the Western market sample size is big enough for Square to bother with localizing a subscription-based Dragon Quest MMO, especially given the platforms it's on.

I am well aware of Bane's perceived depth in the comics. However, as far as video games are concerned, Bane is always just "angry man who punch thing raaaar". Zero depth to the gameplay in any of his boss battles.

I've always been partial to Long Halloween and Killing Joke. Easy answers, but both of them feature a Batman that's not so over-prepared that there's no risk to him whatsoever.

Nowadays Batman's main superpower is being two steps ahead of everyone else in terms of preparation.

The problem is that you already face clouds of goons all the time in normal gameplay. Making the boss battles "more clouds of goons, but this time with a big guy who loves to shoulder tackle you mid combo and take away half of your health in one hit" is neither entertaining nor rewarding. It's just frustrating.

The problem with the Bane fights is that they're the same every time. Punch bane three or four times, he runs away and summons a bunch of goons that you have to kill. Then you punch him a few times. Then more goons. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Not angry at all. Just amused by a ridiculous opinion.
