Weren’t those mirrors just faked, though? I’m certain that (like most reflection effects at the time) it was a duplicate room flipped to match the world around the player, and possibly with character models moving around and mimicking the ones in the “real” room to enhance the illusion.

I was already on the fence about this game, but I think that extra bit of nonsense is enough to convince me that I don’t need Fallout 76. Sorry, Bethesda.

I don’t understand. Those legs look fine to me. Are people really unable to understand how legs work?

Thank you for not dying. It’s the greatest gift you can give us. Returning here after the fact is just icing on the cake.

Was that challenge really that hard? I haven’t played the games in years, but it doesn’t look particularly difficult. Might be time to dig the game out and see for myself.

How is anyone still on the fence at this point, anyway? The game is great, it’s been out for years, it’s on a ton of platforms, and word has gotten out that it’s so good by now.

Any time Dan plays a Sierra adventure, I sit down and watch like a young boy gathered around the fireplace listening intently to grandpa’s stories. I have a fondness for adventure games, and watching the boys play through them is just so relaxing and entertaining.

Heh. I was guessing that it was either hardcore punk or black metal based on the art and context, and I was right. Quickly, everyone praise me for knowing more than I should about the subject of this satire.

The series has been very hit-or-miss since the glory days. The formula hasn’t changed much (other than the 3D titles), and some new spins worked out better than others. I find that the more options you’re given, the better, and few games have really lived up to World Party. Nerfs to Ninja Rope and Girders have really

The game that sold me on grappling hooks being the best thing was Worms: Armageddon. Not only was the grappling hook awesome because it was a grappling hook, but it also had physics to it that let you do some crazy (and often pretty physics-breaking) maneuvers. To top it all off, you had the option to re-fire the

I’m not usually bothered that games aren’t constantly being re-ported to every new platform that comes out. However, I would kill to have BC:R on my Switch.

Yesssssss.

I don’t think this one would be considered a “proper” speedrun because it uses console commands. Even speedruns that skip massive segments of a game (either through sequence breaks à la Metroid or through elaborate glitch setups like OoT’s famous first-to-last dungeon skip) require knowledge of how to do the skip and

UNFORGIVABLE. I WILL NEVER FORGIVE IT.

I played the shit out of this game with a friend on PC. When I opened up the Switch store and saw it, I knew it was time to have a version I can play on the go. It’s perfect for a handheld option.

That price is also available on Newegg, which is where I bought mine a year ago when they had it on sale. If memory sevres correctly (and my math to figure out tax checks out), it was about $475.

Time for some shame.

If the series were even trying to be historically accurate, I might care a little. Not enough to go into full rage-mode like these people are doing, but I’d quietly mumble to myself for a day or two before getting over it.

Honestly, they’re quite good. They’ve really stepped up their game over the years.

I’m strangely conflicted. It’s great that they’re stepping up and improving a public issue, and some would argue that a government shouldn’t hold all the power, but it’s so odd that our taxes aren’t fixing this, but a company that wants to sell us pizzas has ended up taking over these public spaces for what is
