I think it’s because you’re a PC gamer. We tend to invest so much into our rigs that we’ve been training ourselves to spot the differences. It’s just like the 30 vs. 60 FPS thing where it’s super-obvious to those who know what they’re looking at, but pretty difficult to spot for the lay-person. Considering that

Nail on the head. We tend to talk over one-another It’s Always Sunny-style. Honestly, I wouldn’t have had too much of a problem, but it was me being talked over that pushed me to want to finish my thought more. Sort of a pseudo-Streisand effect where the more he tried to suppress me, the more I wanted to say what I

Why I kept going is because it’s not a spoiler, and he won’t even let me finish saying my not-a-spoiler statement. I get it, you’re overly-sensitive, but let me finish goddammit.

I experienced over-sensitivity when talking to a friend about the game. He was waiting until he got paid to pick it up, whereas I had been playing since launch, and I wanted to tell him that you can do some cool pro-level jumping tricks, and it took me a good five minutes to say “you can do some really tricky jumps in

Sorry, but we’ve had these exploratory 3D Mario games for 20 years now. I am far too familiar with not having a timer to appreciate it. Even when they had a timer in 3D World and 3D Land, those games were stage-based and felt more like the classic 2D games in design, so the timer felt a bit more natural.

So what? I call my son it all the time.

I watched Mike Matei play through a beta version of this, and it indeed looked to be very badass.

Oh my God I love everything about her immediately.

Oh no, I got Clown Mario! Quick, reset the test!

Is this the full original game? Are there significant difference? Do the enemies yell “My life!” when they die? Who are the reskinned bosses? The world needs to know!

The problem I have is that I have a birth defect where my tongue is somewhat fused with my right inner-cheek. It gives me a speech-impediment that makes my standard conversation sound more sarcastic than normal. It makes it difficult for the listener to tell when I’m being sincere. I’m a little bit sensitive about the

It’s a wonderful game. I highly recommend the first title (and the spin-off turn-based strategy game Steamworld Heist), but it’s not really required. Quite simply, this studio has put out some top-notch games, and they absolutely deserve your attention.

Isn’t the best horror just a well-disguised thriller? Trying to be spooky-scary isn’t gonna work all that well, but going full-on suspense will keep you on edge and stress you out until you’re ready for the scare. That’s how it’s supposed to work.

I can only recall one instance where a game got me, and that was in the first Dead Space. There’s a part where you’re tasked with shooting monsters who are attacking your girlfriend, and it all plays off of the tension of trying to keep this unarmed NPC alive. Yeah, defend missions aren’t usually very fun, but it was

I’ve noticed this trend lately, and while I initially think it’s nice, I’m also realizing how dependent I am on these things, and how much I need them. You can’t just yank this away from me after you’ve got me hooked; ease me out of this!

Yeah, those are alright, but the best one is right here:

I’ve always been a custom keymap person, and I’ve had plenty of friends call me some sort of heretic for touching the perfection that is default standards for FPSes. All I have to say to them is “fuck you, Austin, I jump with the shift key and reload with F! Grenades go on R and sprint goes on Alt! You can hate me,

It’s unusual to see Nintendo of all companies embrace the free-form approach to playing this much. We’re looking at higher-level moves that would be more suited to speedrunners than casual players, and that’s not really Nintendo’s way. To see them having all these winks and nods to show that they’re leaving the door

And I thought I was doing some sheisty shit. These moves are incredible, and I can hardly believe that Nintendo actually had the foresight to see people pulling these kinds of shenanigans and placing rewards there for them doing it.
