Clear and obvious homage. The notorious carpet pops up in many, many other pieces of media, commonly in horror films, games, and television shows.

I recently watched a pretty great documentary on YouTube about the subject. If you’ve got the time, I recommend viewing it.

It’s a fairly significant bump in power (one basic overview video claimed an 80% increase in performance). The 970 is still a good card, but the 1070 will definitely keep you nice and comfortable for year to come. I made a jump from a 960 myself, and I don’t regret it a bit.

I don’t see why you couldn’t. Unless your PC uses some sort of strange proprietary parts, or your PSU is under-powered for the task (which seems unlikely in this case, since both cards have comparable power draws), it wouldn’t be much trouble.

I just find it annoying that I have to keep opening these damned things. Even worse: I sometimes need to pay to open them, and they just clutter up an inventory that might contain things I actually care about! Can’t I just get my unlocks like I used to?

As much as I despise every game’s need to include loot boxes, I have to agree with the ESRB. It’s not gambling, despite the fact that you can spend real money and have chance decide if you get something good. No matter what, you will win something, and most games offer a way to play without paying.

Glad to hear I’m not the only person who sucks at the game despite putting in over a decade of time.

Yeah, this definitely looks like Nintendo just keeping their legal ownership over the GameBoy up-to-date.

It’s too bad that I always hated fishing trips with my dad. It’s not that I hated the trips, or hanging out with my dad; I just hated fishing. It’s a shame we have so little in common. I’m a huge nerd, he loves sports and outdoors stuff. The only thing we can ever bond over is music, but even that only goes so far.

There’s a lot of good stuff. If you don’t want to buy something that didn’t launch on the Switch at the same time as other things, the list is a bit shorter, but there are still some good games. Ignoring about half of my current library (because they’re not “fresh” anymore), there’s still Golf Story, Mario + Rabbids,

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Switch VR needs to be a thing. The Switch is already a decent size to act as a display, and the detachable controllers have everything they need to work with VR. All we need is a head mount dock for the system. It would likely need to have a bit of extra processing power

A GTX 1080 for the price of a GTX 1070?! You better believe I’m buying one!

From middle school up until my early 20s (so, like, about a decade), I had the impression that I liked anime. I would weeb out a bit, and I would watch a ton of the stuff. Eventually, I noticed that I didn’t have particularly fond memories about most of it, and that I actually had more gripes with the shows than any

The camera would have driven me insane. All those crazy sweeps and awkward placements would have either killed me by obscuring important information or just given me intense motion sickness. Otherwise, that looks pretty good for the time. I love the environments.

Already bought it a few days ago. Mario Bros. is one of the only classic arcade titles that I’m still able to be absorbed with for hours at a time. It’s so good!

That’s one of the worst things about being a life-long gamer: You will eventually see behind the curtain, and the mystery and illusion of this digital world existing starts to fall apart. You start to see how things work, learn to think like the game thinks, and then things start to break down. It’s not like when you

Mine is when I use the small view to see my games list, and all my categories are just randomly expanded. If only Steam remembered which ones were collapsed, or would default to collapsed categories. It’s probably a non-issue for people with smaller libraries, but I have over 1000 items (shut up, it’s my personal

I’ve been thinking about this for years. I have about a dozen different controllers with features that I like sitting in front of me to find the best of each category. My current ideal controller is as follows:

Uh oh, here comes the nostalgia for the Newgrounds days.

Not gonna lie: May 16th and No Cigar are still on my phone’s playlist. I love those tracks.
