The theme of 2013 in the US has been one of needless suffering and death: Sandy Hook, Zimmerman the vigilante sociopath, the murderous Drone campaign in the Middle East, the government spying on its own citizens, and now the pending execution of a mentally-disabled man. Can't say I'm proud to be an American now.

It boggles my fucking mind that people believe this kind of logic; it's like they want America to go back to Wild West justice. I'm reading comments supporting this all over Reddit and I want to smash my monitor.
