I would only buy the XL anyway. But I certainly hope we're getting more colors than just red and black. If not, I'm going wait for the inevitable special edition featuring a game I want.

I would pay far more than $15-20 a month if they added PS2 games to this service. Oh, and I'd actually buy a PS4.

I don't understand why they don't open more of these in the US outside of NYC. I work in the Mall of America and at least a dozen of my employees are huge Pokemon fans. I can certainly imagine a store in MOA seeing traffic like this.

A game featuring toasters that did though would be pretty entertaining! Although I don't want to step on any toaster activist's toes...

That's sad, yet another example of mainstream media vilifying sharks. More humans die each year from toasters than from shark attacks.

Oh I must've missed that announcement. Does Kyogre keep it's pure water typing?

You're only thinking of singles though. Kyogre paired with something like Scizor could be a real pain for the opponent.

It's funny, because nothing about FFXV appeals to me. A straight-up action RPG with an all-male cast set in a "more realistic" world? No thanks.

The same thing that happened to the people who bought a DSi XL right before the 3DS came out. It's the nature of technology—new stuff is always coming out.

There's no point in getting pissed about this being exclusive to the New 3DS. I'm pretty sure the only reason it's exclusive is because the current 3DS simply can't play it. This us improved hardware, with new stuff on the inside AND the outside. This is basically like a new handheld console, just cheaper and not

Retailer exclusive pre-order bonuses? Nintendo noooooooooooo!!!

I'm several hours in and have been playing on normal. I haven't found the escape cost to be too problematic yet (although I have certainly lost some game time due to it). I think what's most important is learning how to guard. I have terrible reflexes particularly when I'm multi-tasking/concentrating on a lot of stuff

The name is not the issue. I work in retail and even some pretty clueless people have understood that the Wii U is a new system (unless they're just utterly clueless about video games in general—I've seen people not understand the difference between even PS3 and PS4). It's more that they don't know the Wii U exists

Big change I'd like to see in marketing is to try and expand its target outside of just kids/family. And this goes for the 3DS too.

A lot of good stuff being mentioned, but right now they're just words. Nintendo has more than enough potential to succeed, they just need to start making smarter decisions. If they follow through with many/all of these ideas, I can see things turning around for them very quickly.

I can't speak for every retailer, but the store I work at constantly has more copies of X on the shelf than Y. But I don't know if this is because we sell more of Y or just get more copies of X.

I would jump on in a second! Every Assassin's Creed game I've played (mostly just 1 and 2 right now) I felt would've been better without the overarching modern-times story tacked on. Why can't I just be a badass assassin in that time period? And from what I've seen of 4, the same is even more true.

As others have said, go see the movie. I promise you will be blown away. Not only is it pretty empowering of both genders, but it blatantly subverts the whole "damsel in distress" trope.

And that's exactly why using an unusual set on a Pokemon is so advantageous. It can really throw your opponent off because they prepare for a certain set and all the sudden have to redo their strategy on the fly. And this hack completely ruins that entire element. Even if it's imperfect, if they can only tell it's not

And so online play with Pokemon continues to sound utterly unappealing. In previous gens I never bothered because I had the choice of either losing half the time with my imperfect team, spending hours breeding a team with perfect stats, or hacking. Now it's easier to get competitively viable Pokemon, and people still
