I have never owned a Microsoft console. I'm dying to play Lost Odyssey, but it hasn't been enough to push me to pay money for an Xbox. There is just no appeal for me. I don't play shooters, none of its major exclusives interest me (Halo, Gears of War, Forza), and I'm just not a fan of the direction Microsoft has

I do miss the magenta/lime green of old Kotaku. But the most exciting part of this for me was making a mobile app. The old mobile Kotaku site sucked (I couldn't comment on anything) and the new design doesn't even have a mobile version so it looks like crap in my little mobile browser.

The fact that he signed the date at the bottom of his twitter message thing (and that the date happens to be April 1st) has me very suspicious. I'm not gonna get all worked up yet, especially because Kojima is so attached to this IP, knows how important Hayter has been for it, and I don't see him changing things up

"He said, she said" isn't much to go off. Either way though, way to show the world that the games industry is growing up, guys!

My computer sucks and the game was barely playable cuz of the framerate, but I liked what I saw. Fascinating idea, and I'd love to see a kickstarter or something for this to expand on it.

Exactly. I'm glad their vision was to make a MMO-style game, but to do that to a franchise that was traditionally single player and then have all the issues they had, it probably could've been handled better. Not to mention that, from what we've heard from the modders who got it to play offline, it wouldn't have

I don't really understand why Nintendo necessarily WANTS to compete with the PS3/Xbox360. It's consoles have sort of been in the own little world from the get-go. The N64 and Playstation were completely separated, with little to no crossover. The Gamecube sort of tried to bridge the gap with the PS2 (didn't even

Glad it got saved in the end, and hopefully the employee who started all this isn't going to lose his job over it (unless he's done this sort of thing a lot, he'll probably just get a strong warning or something).

Overall I like the design, it's pretty simple and straightforward without going over the top (not that over the top is always a bad thing). The only real issue I have is that his pants and shirt are the same color.

It's like Sony is TRYING to kill the Vita. I would buy it in a heartbeat if I could do this with any game, even though there is only ONE game I actually really want on the Vita (P4G, a port of a PS2 game I already own and have played). They have no good first party games, are letting third parties walk away from it,

I will never understand the appeal of extreme violence and gore in games. It does nothing for me, unless it's used for emotional impact (seeing Lara go through a lot of her violent moments in the new Tomb Raider was very powerful and an effective use of violence).

I agree with a lot of the grumbling about the visuals looking too clean, and they somehow managed to make the character sprites look even MORE deformed, to the point where it just looks odd. I'm a fan of the more ornate text box and the character art, but what is up with Square-Enix and their ugly fonts. These are

Posting this online is probably going to cause more problems than just sneaking it out somehow. He could probably find the right person to okay him secretly taking it home or something. That said, maybe by posting this and getting some publicity it'll allow Best Buy to reevaluate their fairly unreasonable policy.

I don't understand what goes through people's minds when they make comments like "I hope you and your daughter die" or whatnot. Yes, the internet allows a level of anonymity, but I have never seen that as an excuse to treat people disrespectfully. It's sad that people have to make such a big deal about this.

Damn,if they don't release this on other platforms this sounds like one more reason to get a WiiU. I'm already interested in it what with the Nintendo first party games, Lego City, Monster Hunter, and SMT x Fire Emblem! Too bad I won't be able to afford one anytime soon...

Wait, did EA actually "win" overall last year? It was considered the worst company period!? That's nonsense. Furthermore, how the hell do people hate EA more than Activision!? Yeah, EA has made some blunders, but at least they seem to try. Activision doesn't even attempt to come off as anything other than

No thanks. I didn't buy the Wii U at launch and that was with it having games I was actually interested in (Nintendolands actually looks like a decent party game, Zombie U, Scribblenauts Unlimited, LEGO City Undercover actually looks good too). I'm interested in the PS4 but that will depend on several factors: price

The only real flaw the game has is the party member AI can be troublesome (it either should've been programmed to be more adaptive or they should've given the player more specific control). Other than that, the game is brilliant.

Obviously Fox/the creators of Glee know they ripped off his version considering they changed a line from "Mix-a-lot's in trouble" to "Johnny C's in trouble."

What a pointless request. I work at Best Buy, we already have a warning that pops up saying "is the purchaser 17 years or older" whenever ringing up an M-rated game, and we're not supposed to sell if they aren't. But there's nothing stopping a kid's parent from buying it for them, nor should there be. If the
