Really nice to see recognition that the biggest issue here is parenting. I'm sick of seeing the industry or government criticized for not doing enough to keep kids playing games healthy amounts or playing age-appropriate games; that is the SOLE responsibility of THE PARENTS.

I think it's interesting how the industry seems to criticize JRPGs for not evolving/changing, yet when we get a game like FFXIII, it is criticized almost solely BECAUSE it doesn't have all the genre conventions. It is at least a decent game, comparable to games like Uncharted or God of War, and yet it's treated like

I wish I had the patience for programming/coding. Instead, I focus more on the theoretical/writing side. I'm working with my brother right now to possibly make a game, but we'll see where it actually goes.

Kotaku is far from the only online distraction I have. If I needed to be really productive for a while, I'd disconnect my wireless router and have a friend hold onto it for a while.

What's stopping me from purchasing a Vita?

Glad I'm not the only one whose Trails in the Sky progress has been halted thanks to P3P!

Thanks, me too because I want to be a writer that's involved in the whole development process but I have no idea how to break out into such a role because it doesn't even seem to really exist!

I'm about to graduate with an individually designed major that I've called "Visual Storytelling." Basically, I want to write but for visual media (video games, film, television) instead of writing novels and such. Ideally, I'd liked to be involved with writing and story creation in video games.

"The funny thing is that, after playing both games, I would have told you that Batman deserved the T and that Halo, a tame shooter by 2011 standards, would be an M."

What happened to going with older looking trainers? These look almost as young as HG/SS's (which were way too young looking for my taste).

It must not work because I know I'm worrying about too much and it barely flickers for me.

I was afraid they were actually going to take action against Bioware, which I would have considered ridiculous. But to simply acknowledge that TECHNICALLY it was false advertising but not make a big deal about it is reasonable.

No, Tyrion should still be the character you play as. Just all his moves involve throwing gold coins and Bronn appearing and doing the actual attacks :D

Only Capcom...

I'm hearing rumors on GameFAQs that Teddie and Chie's actors are out. I'm worried!

From what I heard...terrible. Unless you really, really like card games and want to see the few cutscenes, it sounds like it's not worth it (I personally decided against buying it). It consists of a crappy find-the-chick "mini-game," 2 new card mini-games, and a few cutscenes (which you can just read up on/see

My thoughts exactly. Sorry Square-Enix, "witty" humor is not going to make me lay down another $60 for all the DLC content you have/will release.

Regardless of whether their conclusions are legit based on the actual data collection, if this is the case, I'm guessing it's largely because people are more interested in something that they already know about. Unless a new IP has been heavily marketed and people are confident they'll enjoy it, it should come as no

Hear hear! I can't stand Apple fanboys, they make me get all hipster.

But their products are so sleek and trendy! People always give the pretty one a free pass.
