I don’t think Boston is the big problem. I think Sports Radio in general is the culprit. The entire industry is modeled on artificial conflict and outrage to get listeners. It’s always going to be odious at its core, no matter what city it originates from.

The Sports Hub isn’t terrible, but yes, my quality of life improved dramatically when I stopped listening to Felger and Mazz.

Toucher & Rich?

One of the best parts of my company moving to a place where I could take the T was not having to even have the option of flipping on Boston sports radio. I have become a better father, husband and man. The kicker is I don’t even have kids. Boston sports talk radio is that insidious

counter-point; Toucher & Rich is a fantastic radio show.

The most upsetting part of this story is that I had to listen to 33 seconds of WEEI just to get to the soundbite in question. Boston sports shows are the worst.
