For a show with the pedigree of being an HBO production. Lovecraft Country felt very rough, rushed and half written. I honestly don’t know if Ill bother watching a next season if one is made. Or if I’ll wait to see what the reviews are.

Soul coming to Disney+ at no extra cost is probably enough of a reason for parents that DON’T have the service already, to get it for holidays for the kiddos. Also, Disney+ is currently starved for good original content, so this is a major boon to that as well.

I really like this show. But I also feel like the amount of plot lines and subplots within subplots has been spiraling out of control. The only thing holding it together are he actor’s performances. The voice over thing has been used well by the director in his other films. I wouldn’t worry to much.

Seems fine. Hopefully they can keep Amy “Box Office Poison” Pascal away from any actual decision making. I hope Wilde pulls a Happy Hogan and casts herself in a minor role that pops up in the MCU as need be.

Agreed. It’s a show I didn’t know I’d come to like a long after it was done. And yeah, the Eurotrash Scooby Gang subplots were some middling boring crap to deal with before the “meat” of the series.

Two thoughts and a final thing:

I think Stranger Things “Prime” should go for the 5 and out on seasons. Then, let’s get a side-series of another ensemble group set within the world of 80s Stranger Things in say, NYC or London? etc etc
