The best villains always think they’re doing something for the betterment of others. Or for selfish reasons that they think are for other’s good. I do think Furiosa would start to lean into being a villain but in dusgust with herself, she would leave the area she fought to free from Immortan Joe to wander the wastes…

Just popping in to say:

Having recently seen Birds of Prey on HBO this past weekend. I must say, it is the most Nothing Burger of movies I’ve seen in a while. It is both NOT bad and NOT great. It’s just bland middle of the road. It’s most lasting effect on me is no longer caring about the Harley Quin character on the whole.

First time dealin with Gotham city hero tropes I take it?

Gotham heroes have two options for origins; Horrible death of a loved one or a past life of bad decisions. And Ruby already got the death origin so winner winner chicken dinner on which origin the new Bats gets.

Let’s be honest though, who in Gotham ever has an origin filled with metaphorical rainbows and happiness? Every hero who ever sprung from Gotham had a horrible death in the family or made fucked up decisions in the past. So she was going to get either of those origins. And Ruby already had the “Horrible death” origin.…

*shrug* when in doubt with casting, run in the opposite direction. I’m sure she’ll do great. Hopefully whatever lead to Ruby leaving has been rectified. Although I’m sure this actress signed a multi year contract more iron clad than Ruby’s. I wish her luck with the internet.

Good. Examples need to be constantly made of people who do bullshit like this. So that other people down the road will think twice about their bullshit actions causing them severe consequences.

Janelle is a great actor but I’d personally prefer they cast younger, teenage actors for the X-Men roles instead of more 30 somethings for the roles.

Ah. I remember being bumped to see this movie at my local Alamo Drafthouse when it came out in the Summer. Then Covid 19 happened and that was the end of me going to the movies or being social for the rest of the year...

Whatever Boots Riley makes, I’ll be there day one. His band is great and “Sorry to Bother You” is one of my all time favorite movies now.

This show is easily one of my favorites of all time. Even if we just got these two seasons, I’m be satisfied. Here’s hoping we get many more!
