Boy... how long ago was it that i watched the first 15 minutes of the first episode of this and thought “Yeah dawg, I’m good” and never looked back. lol

Although that whole fight was probably the coolest sabre fight Star Wars has had. And I must say, i really REALLY liked this episode because if nothing else, The Acolyte has successfully shown how deadly a psycho with a lazer sword can be... I can’t help but think a few random nitpicks and critiques. Like... what kind

I feel like this movie WOULD have been a fun watch if The Rock was replaced with any other actor... or a literal plank of wood. But with ol’ Dwayne in it, I am thoroughly underwhelmed.

I mean... that’s more a writing/Director problem really as far as depictions of ol’ Toothy go

In this household Mr, we like to pretend Origins never happened. So to answer your question, I respond with “What’s this “Origins” you’re talking about? Liev who? Never heard of the guy

Wait... July 26th? Why did I think this was a July 4th weekend release? Why ISNT it a July 4th weekend release? That’s.... weird

Ya know... I only have slight gripes with The Acolyte. Among them being I wish they had from the start of the series, drawn out longer the killing of the Jedis working with Sol . It would have felt more earned and foreboding. Instead, they kinda shot their metaphorical “load” with killing not only the “Red Shirt” Jedi

The Umbrella Academy: I super duper PROMISE I’ll eventualy get back to watching the show. Just life went “wooooosh!” on me after watching half of season 2 and I’ve oddly never gone back to the show. How was season 3 by the way?

I’ll call it now, this sounds more and more like a Young Adult novel of a series with a Star Trek skin on top of it.

Womp womp. I would have liked to see him as a villain in a regular Star Trek series (or movie) instead of what sounds like just a YA novel smashed into a Star Trek setting.

I believe at this point in the show’s timeline, the High Republic’s Jedi would have just recently seen the end of a years long war with a nasty space pirate empire (The Nihil). During which, they had lost tons and tons of Jedi. So it’s safe to say, they were scraping up whatever Force sensitives they could find to

I don’t really see Yord as some textbook “prick” as this article and the actor have said. I see him more of the “Goody two shoes, ALWAYS following the rules” type of character. Unable to bend the rules. Never not doing things by the book. And that’s why some of the other Jedi see him as an asshole.

Also, CRAZY price tag on that Apple sucker lol

One day I’ll get around to watching season 3 and then this final season. Really loved the first 2 seasons but for some reason I just didn’t get around to watching the 3rd upon release. Maybe it had lost momentum for me a that time? *shrug*

It’s seems a bizarre waste that Netflix isn’t filming this stage show from every angle to be released ON the streaming platform at a later date.

I have bad news for you dude. This movie is gettin ROASTED by critics. 49% currently on Rotten Tomatoes lol

Without looking down and  reading the other comments in this post:I bet the twist is Ryan Reynolds is an IF. An IF for the main human girl character. Right? I’ve not seen the film and I had seen that shit comin a MILE away. hahahaha OR, is her Dad the IF? hahahaha

I got about half way through the first episode and got distracted by something else so I had to pause it and I haven’t bothered resuming that episode or the season. I think the same happened to me with that Wheel of Time show Amazon I think still has going? lol

The prospect of Sweeney gallivanting around in Sci fi boob armor will be enough to guarantee the Barbarella remake gets at least a strong opening weekend. Being directed and written by Edgar Wright ensures it’ll be a genre bending good time with lots of solid laughs. Sure to become a cult classic in its own way.

Properties without a firm canon are castles built on sand and particularly vulnerable to the type of tinkering done here.
