I’m excited to see Routh as Kingdomcome Supes, but man Welling would look great as that version of Superman.
Nice.. Welling is 42 years old and 6'3" with Routh 39 and 6'2" according to the google machine. But as we can see, Routh is hitting the gym.
I appreciate how weird the new Nancy Drew series looks, with ghosts and blobs and whatnot. Maybe add Dracula as an antagonist (who once kidnapped her in a 2-part episode of the 70s Hardy Boys-Nancy Drew series), why not
There is a stray reference to Bobbi on Agents of SHIELD being an “amazon” (Peter Macnichol’s Asgardian character calls her this) which I guess was a reference to that pilot, though oddly there was no reference in it to her Thermascyrian background & that might not have been part of the premise.
Holy cow, is that forced perspective on Tulloch’s pic, or is Tom Welling really that huge? He looks like Paul Bunyan!
Right?
I sometimes forgot what a giant Welling was on that show. Which honestly is what I want from Superman. But I was shocked to find out Adrienne Palicki was was 5'11 because this is what she looked like standing next to Welling on Smallville.
...but still looking as good as he did then so clearly kids & lawnmowers agree with him.
;)
He’s absolutely right. Playful banter/competition is one thing (it’s even healthy), but when people are tearing into each other like rabid hyenas, they’re ruining the fun for everyone.
to say theres a rivalry based on the quality of the films they’re putting in theaters is like saying there’s a rivalry between an ant and a boot.
I can’t find the clip right now, but I saw one time at a Q&A at a Con, someone asked Baker for tips on getting into voice acting.
He gave this whole speech on getting the best microphone you can find, then just constantly practicing through reading books to yourself and recording them and playing them back and things…
This looks rad, but we could use a decent Time Machine alright.
Perhaps you’d prefer alien invaders weren’t prepared for a chance of rain?
It also offers the remarkable experience of Malcolm McDowell playing a bookish and gentle hero with a strong moral compass.
(From the movie) Stevenson: “Ninety years ago, I was a freak. Now... I’m an amateur.”
Later Red Jac landed in Shanghai in 1932, eventually moved on to the Martian Colonies and finally Argelius II where he ran into the USS Enterprise.
I think that it holds up quite well, having watched in the last couple years. I mean, sure, it’s got 70s era special effects, but it’s such a lovely reminder of an era where lots of mainstream movies had pretty art-y premises and productions.
