Yeah, I watch Monday night when it hits Amazon. Monday morning I got clobbered with news of both Captain Jack (from the BBC no less) and the new Doctor. I won’t say it ruined the episode but it certainly took the edge off.

Thanks for letting me know this was old.  It still reads really well.

You do know that Safe SUCKS as the fourth episode, right?

many of them also believe that the Doctor has always disliked guns.

I’ve been trying to figure out why, although I enjoyed Rise of Skywalker a lot, it evaporated almost as soon as I left the theater. I’ve got it.

My favorite Star Wars: Star Wars, Rogue One, Solo, early Rebels, and the non-Luke parts of The Empire Strikes Back. i.e. the Force light parts of Star Wars.

I have yet to get a valid reason why Kylo returned ‘to the light side’ after his mom tagged him on ForceBook, then saw his Dad as a memory instead of the woman who just gave her life for his soul (story wise).”

“But it’s worth noting that in the original trilogy, there was also a controversial member of the core group introduced in the second movie, who came from an underrepresented group and whose character destabilized the central dynamic in a way that was, at the time, pretty polarizing.

I think I felt about this one the way a lot of people felt about the last one. It was OK. (I LOVED the last one. Terrifying Scout Walker for the win!) I mean, it had a space battle and Ming-Na Wen. And the space battle tried harder to look like 1970's than the Special Editions did.

“I think that’s the scariest thing we had in the movie.”

I did notice that my favorite flashy light prop that fandom has designated a droid detector was gone.

Just so you know, you have nearly the perfect take.

By “throne room sequence” you mean the big fight with Snoke, Kylo, and Rey? How did that go?

It helps if you think of the sequel trilogy as the Star Wars equivalent of “The Scouring of the Shire.”

My first thought was “Brining back Palpatine will undercut Jedi but giving Han a regressive arc and a failed marriage didn’t?”  (I don’t think Luke’s arc was regressive, because he didn’t go back to being the exact same guy he was in Star Wars.)

Fontana, Justman, and Coon are the unsung heroes of Star Trek.

Talk like children, do you have to?

I loved the waitress. He's trying to bribe her and she thinks she's getting a nice tip. He landed on the planet Wisconsin and didn't know it.

Do any of you people remember how hard it was to find the original Yoda action figure back in 1980? He was SO CUTE! And TINY!  And you couldn’t find him anywhere!

I didn’t think about it, but yeah... the music totally makes up for the lack of expressions in Mando’s helmet. I’m in love with this show.
