I have a friend with a seizure disorder who haa a dog trained to press a buzzer to alert her neighbors that she needs help. The trainer claims he used an iPad as part of his tools. I thought he was BSing me.

Actually, the dog in the low right corner is a Xoloitzcuintle, this breed is not related to the Chinese Crested dog.

I get a little uncomfortable when I see any animal referred to as "ugly." Especially by the likes of humans —- who are arguably and objectively among the fundamentally ugliest species on the planet, and possibly on other planets as well.
I have a small dog (~ 10 lbs) and I use a retractable leash to walk him in SF. He's not particularly well trained, and doesn't listen to me when I try to get him to move in one direction or the other, which is definitely my fault for not putting in the effort to train him correctly.
