Side note: you lot need to get onto celcius like the rest of us. The metric system is bloody amazing.

Yeah they definitely mean centigrade. It’s a British newspaper. And I hear Rhode Island summer evenings can get chilly, but not THAT chilly.
Hahahahaha The Sun is so damn specific with its reporting: “Our world exclusive pictures show Taylor Swift on an afternoon outing with Tom Hiddleston on Tuesday at 4pm at one of Taylor’s favourite beaches, which was enjoying 26 degree temperatures.”
I can’t tell if it’s her, but it’s definitely him. He literally only owns one jacket at a time, and that’s it.
The idea that we should forcibly conscript young girls into combat, to my mind, makes little or no sense.
I’m so sorry. I had an induced miscarriage at 10 weeks in January 2015 after they found no heartbeat. It does get easier and I was lucky enough to get pregnant again a few months later, my son is four months old and perfectly healthy, but I still think about the other pregnancy. I don’t know that I will ever have a…
She had an abortion for the same reason any woman has an abortion: her own, personal, private reason. Her abortion “reason” is as unhorrifying as anybody’s abortion reason. That’s why you were told to fuck off.
I’m reading this thread and the worst thing I’ve seen someone say to you is the sit the fuck down and that you have a wee head. I get it, it sucks making a bad comment and then getting flamed for it. It happens sometimes around here. probably the best thing to do is to make another burner and really think about…
The sad face sticker on the door really hit home for me.
I am so sorry for your loss.
THIS. When I was younger, still living at home with my conservative parents, I took a political science class at the local college. We had weekly debates, and for the reproductive rights debate, I took the anti-abortion side, because that’s what I believed. The professor asked if I thought abortion was murder and…
I’m in awe of this woman’s strength. A week ago we went in for our ten week sonogram and found out our baby had no heartbeat. It’s just the shittiest news, and the waiting for your body to respond is excrutiating. Making a baby is such an emotional roller coaster; it’s so tough when it’s seemingly so easy for so many…
This feeds the incredibly damaging narrative of “Good abortions vs. Bad abortions.” The whole point is that women should be allowed to access health care without having to prove they deserve it. The headlines isn’t click bait but it raises an interesting question : who are you to decide her decision oy to remain…
The point of the article is to explain that the choice is a personal one that should be left up to the woman and it is not our place to judge the “reasons”. Judging a woman’s reasons for an abortion are exactly what put her in the predicament of having to fly to Colorado and spend $10k on a shot.
This article tells us what happens when women have abortions that late. This is why late-term abortion needs to remain legal. Women are not deciding on a whim to have abortions at 32 weeks. It is done for medical reasons.
I just want to highlight this passage for anyone who skims or just jumps to the comments. Because truer words.
I was horrified by the title and then immediately realized it was misleading.
I just still can’t wrap my head around the fact that this is what it’s like to receive a legal, medically necessary procedure.
How was this misleading? She did indeed have a 32 week abortion. The difference is that her baby was not viable and she had to go through the rest of that before she had what is an abortion.
Way to miss the entire fucking point.
