:( Is there some reason we're discussing this, I ask, nervously?

In the DOD we call these 'murder boards' and they ought to be used more often.

As researchers from San Francisco State University (perhaps unsurprisingly) discovered, buying things like books, video games, or musical instruments can still increase a person's happiness level because they weren't just buying a trinket. They were buying something they could use, something that would enrich their

When I'm sick I will take chicken pho with Sriracha, the only time I can stand Sriracha.

It's nice and all but what I really would like to know, and what I really hope was considered, is — does it make the act of getting from ground transport to airplane, or transferring from airplane to airplane, easy? I was recently in Miami International and the mile long trek from the gate to passport control was more

No. No we can't live in peace. No matter what we wish or hope or dream of, no we can't live in peace. The moment one person thinks it's his duty to his deity/God/imaginary sky friend to hurt anyone who doesn't worship as he does, we can't live in peace unless we surrender, continuously and afresh to everyone else. Very esteemed customer:

I'm so terrified that I don't like seeing even other people near

Wow. Just...wow. So not very flexible for employers. Oh, and thank you!

I guess it's very important to negotiate those contracts well. If I may ask - how long are fixed-term contracts usually for? Do they ever include breaking mechanisms (family care obligations, etc.) and are there penalties for an employer if he terminates the contract early?

"No right to resign?" How does that work - you have to work there even against your will?

Must be a retro molded salad extravaganza!

If I'm doing the interviewing, and I don't by then know why I should (or shouldn't) hire a candidate, isn't my question going to waste everyone's time - the candidate's while he casts about for an answer, and mine for yet more data points that I've not managed to add up in such a way as to be useful? What I'd
