Another person going way back to KotOR 2. Were there any challenges unique to writing characters set in the Star Wars universe as opposed to other universes you had written previously (Like Planescape or others)? Were there other unique challenges (non-writing) that you noticed in the creation of KotOR 2?

And you know all of that how...?

I've also known Cheetah for a few years now, and I totally agree with you. I met him when I was going through a rough time, and he just has this way about him that chirked me up every time I said hello to him (cheesy at that might sound). He's such an awesome person.

They actually are not asking for money from strangers. Their Honeyfund was designed and worded to be for friends and family, and there is no pressure from them to contribute. (Though if you did, they do take the time and personally thank you, which I thought was a sweet thing to do.)

I know Cheetah IRL as well, and I agree with you.

...Except they didn't ask strangers to donate. The registry was for friends/family.

He changed his name to Cheetah when he was old enough to do so.

I actually know Cheetah IRL, and I think it's kinda rude to call them 'assholes'. That really feels inappropriate even for a site like Jez.

Where has this GIF been all my life? *steal*

You might be surprised. My boyfriend writes a few checks for utilities and other things that don't have automatic bill pay.

Well color me shocked.

Oh, God. That comment reminded me of my sister-in-law having to be on total bedrest due to an incompetent cervix...which includes no working. How selfish was she, to have to put her health above work? /s

Sad, isn't it? Why are people so awful and judgey about others? =\

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of a lot of what I was reading in those comments either. Much of my side-eye comes from the fact my sister-in-law has an incompetent cervix and was on total bedrest during her pregnancy. I felt like shaming women for things that happen during their pregnancy was a rather low blow, since some of

Thank you for this! It's so fascinating (and sad). My first thought when reading this? 'Wow, that's so fucked up.'

That makes me so sad. Kinja wasn't pulling up on Jez for me yesterday (but oddly enough it was on every other Gawker blog) so I didn't read most of the comments. India may not be the U.S., but it's not nearly as backwards as some people paint it. Years ago, an instructor of mine showed our class slides of her trip

Oh, I should tell you about Ziggy.

Now that you mention that, I've heard that's one way couples can try to save costs. If they say it's a wedding, the costs are higher than if they say it's just a fancy party for xx people. (I've never looked into that myself, so I'm not totally sure if that would work.)

Wow. Must have been some fancy pigs in a blanket to cost that much. O.o

I was waiting for someone to blame the gays.
