I tell myself that. But part of the problem is how much fear and rage I’m carrying. If someone were actually interested in me rather than what’s between my legs, I might spend the next few months crying and screaming. It’s not just the p in v, it’s all of it. It’s the intimacy in general. Maybe I could manage first

I know at least some of it is psychogenic (due to trauma), and when it’s psychogenic, pursuing physical cures just reinforces it. So I am going to work on the psychogenic elements, which I know are there, and figure out what’s left when I’m done. I will keep the Mast Cell stuff in mind, but I can’t take it seriously

I’ve read a lot of women’s memoirs and bios, and a lot of them are really good. Just pick one at random from the library. I don’t recommend Margaret Thatcher’s memoirs, though. They’re a bit dry.

I knit myself a pink pussy hat this week. Better late than never. It looks way better on my than my regular winter hat, which is now getting retired.

I bought a sheepskin rug to use as a mattress pad on my poky rooming house bed. It is amazing to sit on, to sleep on, to sleep in on. A little extravagant but totally worth it.

Pelvic pain update: So I’ve been going to this amazing physio, who figured out that it was my superficial fascia that was tight, and now I know that there’s a superficial fascia there. Which is more than the last two gynecologists I saw knew. They did not get good online reviews, let me tell you.

Wait until you get older and your eyesight isn’t good enough to see the lines. :)

There was still a Christmas tree in a local bank when I went in on Monday. The manager was joking that they’d put it up early for next year.

Does she have her own money? Can she afford to walk away yet? I didn’t stand up to my family until I was mid to late 20s. Some women don’t manage it until their 30s or 40s. It probably depends on how much nastiness there is, and how nasty it is.

I think you can wear crocs if you can make them edgy and postmodern somehow. But if you’re a lady you should be crossing your legs at the ankle. My cousin learned this in a Casablanca course.

I would not be allowed to write an obituary, and my family would go with the myth, because they are not good at the truth. I sympathise with anyone allowed to write an obituary who would be punished for telling the truth. Families can be sooo good at punishing the truth.

How do you feel about refugees from the US coming up into Canada? At least some of people coming into the US illegally could be considered refugees, including this woman, as someone else here pointed out.

You could at the very least tell them why you can’t go back. Also, there’s nothing wrong with asking for a refund, but obviously if you don’t feel comfortable with that you don’t have to.

This is a great statement, but I noticed he left “male or female” out. Guys, stop doing that!

I didn’t mean traditional trickle down economics, that’s designed to favour the rich only. I meant policies aimed at the middle class that also benefit the rich, and leave lower income people out. I think those policies are also trickle down economics, but don’t get called that. In Canada, unlike the US, the middle

There are a lot of nouveau riche in Canada and the US. :) Those of us who are old money (and I think of myself as that even though I’m disabled/on welfare) are expected to keep quiet about it out of politeness. I think the goal here is to be nouveau riche (to the point that some people pretend they grew up poor).

Lamenting the status of the middle class, and enacting policies to bolster it, looks like trickle down economics to me.

I was told in school that all of Canada was middle class. I lived in a middle class neighbourhood, didn’t see anything else (except for a few rich people, who were upper middle class, on account of how Canada does not have a traditional aristocracy!) and took their word for it. Part of it is that many low income

Good luck. I wish you both the best.

Aaand I just realized that trans politics amounts to eugenics. I don’t think it’s intentional, but when a class of people who don’t fit in (often highly intelligent, highly creative types, often gay, lesbian, disabled or with mental health problems) say they want surgery that involves sterilization and the
