I saw this film a couple of weeks ago and loved every minute of it! Any Ghibli comparisons are entirely justified; in terms of art quality, tone, characterisation and story it's up there with the best of Ghibli's films, and is a must watch for anyone who pines for the more fantastical storytelling Ghibli used to be

Having watched this film a couple of weeks ago I can confirm that it does indeed make sense and everything is logically consistent. It's family entertainment rather than Akira-style mind bending weirdness, but it does have enough twists and turns to keep you guessing at the explanation of the bigger story.

And what I have learned from this comment is that the appropriate response to a drive by shooting is to blow up the neighbourhood where the drive by suspect lives. Also, if the shooter hides out in a school it's ok to blow that up too.

This! This! This! A million times this!

That's fantastic! Where's it from?

Nope, I love this movie too, both viscerally and intellectually. It has to be one of the most misunderstood and underrated movies of our time. What's more, every person I know in real life who's seen it also loves it, and my friends generally have pretty fine taste in movies. I find it difficult to reconcile the hate

I'm glad I'm not the only one who realises that he's clearly taking the piss out of the kind of books that everyone here seems to believe this genuinely is!

Ok, so I'm English, and chicken & waffles isn't a thing over here, however having recently seen this concoction online a few times I decided to give it a go and make it happen myself. I was, to be honest, a little underwhelmed, however I'm not sure if I just didn't get the components quite right. I'd like to give it

You beat me to it! The animation really is incredible, the way the motion is expressed, there's a lot going on in a short time but you can clearly see every part of it, it never gets lost in a blur (unlike the vast majority of Hollywood fight scenes). Plus it just looks so damn stylish; Spike's character oozes

I can't help but notice a sense of pride in your cat killing tally. I've been driving about the same length of time as yourself, have encountered a number of cats in the road during that time, and have easily and safely avoided hitting any of them. Mostly you'll encounter cats in the road in residential areas, in

Absolutely! I've literally enjoyed every single minute of Yamato 2199 so far, and can't wait for more! Attack on Titan is certainly awesome too though, I was worried it might be a bit of a one trick pony but I've been pleasantly surprised by how fresh each episode is.

Yup! Best gun in the game, and an absolute beast at taking down big targets. Plus I love the noise it makes.

In A Clockwork Orange "horrorshow" is used as an adjective, e.g. "it was real horrorshow".

How has there not been a big Hollywood adaptation of it yet?! If ever there were a series of kids books that'd make for good movies it'd be Redwall. Man I loved those books!

To be honest the amount of hate for BBT on this site really surprises me, it's a decent sitcom with moments of pure genius. There are a few moments where we're laughing at the nerds rather than with them, but so what? Surely it's a good thing to be able to laugh at ourselves, no? Let's be honest, certain stereotypes

My thoughts exactly.

*Goes away and google image searches "weta evangelion"*

No, it's really not. In fact, I'm currently re-watching B5 having not seen it again since it first aired on TV, and now that I'm about half way through season 2 it's got me hooked again. Admittedly season 1 was quite shaky in parts, and there were quite a few pointless "episodes of the week", but as I recall DS9 was a

No! It's a good thing! Despite what all the internet hate will have you believe, a lot of it is actually good music and you should totally embrace the bass. For some of the more melodic variations check out Seven Lions or Zomboy, or for some more raw sounds try Flux Pavilion or Skism.

I have that model, probably the most enjoyable to build Gundam I own. Soooo many moving parts! If you're gonna relapse you might as well do it properly...
