I actually just submitted my own book, A Legion of Gods, to some potential agents. Medieval knights in early-era race cars, dark magic, crazy animal/machine hybrids possessed by demons. The usual. I commissioned this piece of concept art to help establish the imagery. (Akira was the obvious choice for a poster

What a coincidental repost. I just worked on my ‘87 Si today. I’m trying to keep it running while it’s in storage, and I’m keeping it in storage until I can get into a big enough space to fix all the dangerous rust underneath. Such an awesome little car. I must save it.

‘87 Si owner here. My plastics are all trashed, too. And it’s impossible to find intact replacements. I’ve actually started to learn about fiberglass so I can recreate them all. You’ve done an admirable job. Sometimes there’s no fighting the planet.

With that many miles, $4000 would be generous.

Because racecar.

Trying to make the C2 prettier is like trying to freeze ice. One of the most beautiful American cars ever made.

Where did they say this would be their last ICE car? I could see Lotus ICEs surviving long after most of the others have gone electric, since their market is so focused.

Team cycle fenders! The big swoopies always look so awkward and weird. Leave them in the past.

Perhaps the ultimate British sports car of the wedge era

That’s glorious. It looks like a 944 that’s actually serious about being fast.

...two big parallel and rectangular wings, held in a flimsy-looking structure of wire and slats that held a prone Wright brother and an engine with a propeller.

I meant what I said. Twist it all you want.

You’re right. Cutting and pasting what I said doesn’t change what I actually said.

Automakers need to start doing this with all their classics. Timeproof them.

Context is key:

That one was especially fun because we got to make a car Turducken

“And that caring for the poor will turn us all into Nazis.” Your inaccurate summary of those words.

I mean, I’m not trying it, but I understand why the sudden restriction would make some people upset.

Here’s the problem, though. You keep listing these definitive statements that I never made. “Caring for the poor will turn us into Nazis?” You’re arguing with a version of me that you made up. I guess I’ll leave you to it.

“They” are the protestors from the article, referenced in the original comment, which you just brought up. I haven’t really been trying to argue a point, merely to get you to see things from more than one perspective. In this I admit failure.
