Excellent. When no one else can remember the brand of electric crossover they drive, we’ll all still recognize Lamborghini.

Good. Aside from the Urus, there’s absolutely nothing about Lamborghini that was ever intended to be practical, sensible, or necessary. A Lamborghini is a great block of emotion that’s been sculpted into a 200 mph art piece. That is their brand.
Unlike most automakers, they understand that the descent into electric…
Motorsport releases such a tiny amount of carbon relative to the rest of the vehicles on earth. Combustion motorsport should be preserved, not consigned to the grave.
Nothing Will Ever be Sustainable Enough: Report
My thoughts exactly. I think in one of the games you can actually see some chain drives in there, a la Honda S600, but yeah, electric hub motors would definitely get the job done. You could even tune the ICE to start charging when you stomp the pedal, to replicate the sounds of the game.
Neither the Hoonigan nor the WETA replica got the swing-arm axles right, though. I mean, I don’t blame them, since that stuff doesn’t really exist, BUT STILL.
People who complain about driving a manual in traffic have never driven a modern manual in traffic. It’s no more strenuous than riding a brake pedal at 5 mph.
Also, who just sits in traffic? Adjust your life. Stop being part of the problem.
There goes mah hero. WATCH HIM AS HE GOES.
The idea that “The Rich” are all conservatives these days is hilarious. The green turned blue while you weren't looking.
Ulgh. Jalopnik is such a depressing place to be a gearhead these days. “Here are a bunch of new supercars AND HERE’S WHY YOU SHOULD HATE THEM.”
The blue collar town is probably just trying to survive. And we're not talking about some Snidely Whiplash dumping acid in the stream anyway. We're talking about DEF systems that don't really do anything. Bring it back down.
Yeah, if those small business owners know what’s good for them, they’ll get with the program.
I’ll never believe that the moral move is to make business more and more expensive for people until they bend to the agenda that you happen to have in the moment.
Yeah, I don’t buy that automakers are really putting up much of a fight. The Trump rollbacks on CAFE restrictions were met with derision by automakers (or so Jalopnik reported), who wanted instead to pump up electric dreams. Instead we get silly DEF systems (which dump fuel into the exhaust to burn off all that scary…
Still melted, but now fun to drive! Huzzah!
Are they really only expecting 50k with this? Seems like alot of trouble. https://www.autonews.com/used-cars/gm-launch-used-vehicle-shopping-platform-carbravo
If they were, would we be having this conversation?
Or they could stand up for themselves and start lobbying for less restriction.
Yeah, I agree. Stuff like the truck above is in that favored window of modern reliability but old school simplicity. There's definitely a market for that.
Probably quite a production cost savings for a negligible weight penalty. 500 hp in this thing will still be a hoot. Pretty much a lighter C8 with the correct number of pedals.
