If you ask me, this is what Pokémon should’ve been aiming for all along. A sprawling, story-driven, open world adventure. Pokémon meets BotW should’ve been the goal since Red and Blue!

I’ve been waiting for this game since at least ‘98 and I’m conducting the hype trains.

And honestly that’s the thing. They didn’t just give a random cryptic teaser for Legends Arceus. They showed straight off the bat bona fide gameplay. Immediatly showing direct hints of how the more involved open world environment could be use(notably by using the very environment to sneak around unseen by pokemon and

Whether it “does well” comes down to how WB measures success for a new release on HBO Max. Is it a surge in subscriptions? Is it views? Is it a lower turnover figure (i.e., people unsubscribing) than past months? Some formula that takes all of the above into account and spits out a metric for measuring “success”? Time

I’m reading that in the voice from the “Monty no!” cat vomit video.

Women are easy targets, similar to minorities.

Saying it’s name sounds like an old timey New York gangster saying “purple”.

I always remember this NBA 2k14(!!) trailer. It was a launch day ps4 title and to this day I still think NBA 2k games still haven’t look this good! (well maybe PS5/XSX nba 2k21)

Nope, they were being intentionally misleading.

I actually feel the same way about Syndicate. Unity has an incredible story and obviously a gorgeous world, but whenever I load it up, paris just feels weirdly cold and museum like. It has my heart, but not my attention. Meanwhile Syndicate isn’t nearly as compelling story wise, but it’s actually fun as hell. It’s

Why are you surprised? Isn’t finding bugs exactly what betta testing is for?

I did the same once it showed up on Gamepass and I’ve had a couple of sessions that went like Zack described (ie, a pretty decent approximation of an actual Fallout game) and a couple of sessions where a higher level player would follow me around and kill everything before I could kill it or follow me into combat and

Yeah I’m downloading it. Not expecting much, but Game Pass so why not?

It’s a solid game with a good community. The hate-jerk online is just that. Hell, look at the first starred comment on this thread. Every time there’s an article about Fallout 76, without fail someone jumps on to signal how much they hate it with their edgy take.

Yeah, being in on the trial was neat! It convinced me to buy Odyssey on the One X so I could play it without lag and with better visuals.

This. I got to play AC Odyssey for free and it worked great. Then I got a free copy for my PC with my save intact, so I could then run through all the DLC (which I purchased on my own). All of that was before it was officially called Stadia, but still, it was a free game in a series I love.

I think I’m going to spend the rest of the night playing this over and over.

Duncan Hunter, the vaping (former) congressman spent $150,000 in campaign funds on Steam games. So you don’t particularly have to be a crazy millionaire, just a grifter.

If you have that kind of money then hiring a peon or two to do all the clicks would be nothing :)
