Blizzard was always shit with bad practices. Their games were polished and they knew how to hype up fans so they got away with a lot.
Considering how expensive a production like Hitman 3 is and that IO is now independent, its probably also very much needed.
But customers don’t deserve a choice in platform?
I’m just here for the rage about either having to install a different store app (THE HORROR) on your PC or wait a few months to play one of thousands of games.
Damn right they do!
I just find it odd the demo is locked behind a pre-order or a burrito.
Speaking as someone who programs for a living, as long as the developers did a halfway reasonable job in developing their UI and making it extensible, it shouldn’t take more than a couple of weeks to put together something usable.
Every damn time:
1) Step into fitting room
2) Check for new clothes
3) Forget what I already own
4) Step back out
5) Search Nook Shopping app for stuff I already own
6) Step back into fitting room
7) Make a single purchase
8) No I don’t want to wear it now
9) Repeat
Counterargument 1: There’s no point in gameplay if players tune out of it.
That’s my thought, while great on paper, implementing it now might be more difficult that it seems. At least the bulk purchases or being able to show which items you currently own should be simple enough.
Man the video is painful lol. I hope Nintendo steals some of these ideas for future updates, even if it’s just the simple ones. As much as me and my wife enjoy playing ACNH, we’ve wished for bulk nook miles redemption, bulk DIY, and for shops to show what items we have currently or have purchased in the past.
So do they expect Netflix & YouTube and other streaming services to submit each movie individually for review by Apple? No? Only the games? Huh. Wonder why that is.
Oh shit yeah. My biggest worry for Fall Guys was that people wouldn’t want to pay for a game in the vein of so many free to play games out there, and it would die from lack of community.
Finally someone who says Syndicate is underrated. I really enjoyed that game (aside from the insanely repetitive side activities) and the carriages gave it an almost GTA vibe. Austin Wintory’s score is great too.
Yeah, finding an island of living food that turns your body into what you just ate is all kinds of horrifying. The proper course of action would be to quarantine it to prevent it from spreading, not turn it into a fucking tourism hotspot.
Agreed. The walrus just hoses those cute little strawberries
True, I don’t necessarily think it should be the “I beat the game” trophy/achivement, especially for open world games. Maybe something like obtaining 25% of trophies/achievements would be a better indication of having played a good portion of a game.
Interesting suggestion in the Forbes article where you log in with your PSN/Live/Steam account. Imagine if Metacritic verifies that you earned the trophy/achievement that you usually get when you beat a game in order to write a review.
this is essentially the philosophy behind the universal studios rides, synced audio/visual with the rides. its great
