I’m amazed I had to get this deep to find this post. The gen 1 models are so good, coupe impreza, come on, the best. They’re the ones with all the trophies too. I guess I’d be happy if they stay cheap so I can keep seeing them rally.

This reminds me of the 30mph sign at the east end of Davison Freeway in Detroit. Some one keep mowing down the sign.

I really miss the short lived Company of Heroes Online. The 7 months that it ran was some of the best online gaming I’ve ever had.

The unpainted test mules look really awesome too

new new top gear, the UK remake of the US remake

I’m a big fan of badly placed “buy american” bumper stickers I see around Detroit.

That’s a great graphic. When I’ve done rally spectating the first thing I look for is a route of retreat. Also don’t run into the road, run into the woods. Even a small tree will stop a car.

Now playing

One of my favorite rally videos. Jari-Matti Latvala in a Ford Escort MkII at the 2012 Lahti Historic Rally.

I’ve been pretty happy with my SX4, though I haven’t had to do anything major. I did replace a replace a radiator on my mom’s esteem (its layout is almost the same).

I swear I saw a camo/covered bronco driving around Dearborn a week or so ago. It looked to be about the same shape and size as a jeep renegade.

I’d go for the Bigfoot Fastrax.

I’ll just leave this here:

I bought my Suzuki SX4 after seeing it at the NAIAS (Detroit). I’m pretty sure that was the last year they had a booth too.

Batmanuel’s Manuelmobile (1960 Buick LeSabre) from The Tick live action TV series.

4WD not AWD

I don’t think Subatu had a full time all wheel drive system until the late 80s.

Subaru Justy, even though it’s not a “crapcan of a car”

I swear the first year or so that they had the 45 rule the signs didn’t say “Where Workers Present.”

That stretch of I94 through Chicago where it hit 45 always drive me nuts. As others have stated in Detroit pretty much every one does 70+ and I always find myself driving way faster than the speed limit.

Really though who drives 55 on any highway in Detroit? Even MDOT’s traffic map shows orange if the speed drops below 60.

I want engine sounds not a fucking dubstep remix!
