It's funny how I went full circle on my wagon aversion to a serious consideration of this as an alternative for a family car that I would drive. I remember hating the family wagon because it looked un-cool, now it's growing on me.

I think modular platforms like VW MQB will change the way cars are manufactured, it allows for great line flexibility and cost reduction. It may even usher an era where mixed with body panel 3D printing could allow any car to be manufactured on any plant.
