As a previous owner of both a manual GTi and a DSG GTi, I have to say manual. I missed the control and feedback of the manual while in the DSG, I only loved the DSG in heavy traffic going uphill.

I've had a DSG and a Manual GTi, and IMO the clutch is hell in stop and go traffic, but as smooth as a DSG shifts, it still doesn't match the motor breaking and reving during corners. I may be an idiot that didn't learn how to operate the DSG properly, but even in sports mode it didn't match the feel of the Manual.…
