Well I used to have CAD printouts of a F14 Tomcat in my room as a kid, loved Robotech and dreamed of flying while watching Firefox and Top Gun.
They go to all this trouble to deliver a product that is received with a mehh and disregarded as more of the same and not exciting..... Guess they could have stuck with the old recipe without any discernible reception by the consumers.
At this point (with wireless iOS updates) I only use iTunes to preform backups and to jailbreak.
For me it was a process of adapting to iTunes (out of need due to the purchase of an iPod), but even while it's far form the best tool it helped me organize. But getting album art in this platform is a real pain
It is a royal pain in the *, but at this point I only use it to backup my Apple products
