True!

This? This is it? It looks like a Miata with an ill-advised body kit drunkenly ordered off of NOPI catalog at 2am.

No thanks.

Luckily Mazda has good interiors and groundworks for styling, but still... this is a Fiat, where’s the flair?

I can’t say I see an improvement in design...

Every day this issue is getting bigger and more serious. Now places in Europe are testing the TDI’s so they may face further legal action and recalls to vehicles sold world wide. This could very well be a big time game changer for VW.

Laff.

When I was picking up my (non diesel) Golf from my independent VW mechanic yesterday I asked him what he he thought about all of this, and he just shrugged. People who buy VW’s for gearhead reasons will keep buying them, and the Whole Foods crowd will just move on to the next eco-car fad.

The amount of NOx damage caused by VW is incredibly minimal in the grand scheme of things. 80% of NOx in the USA is caused by fertilizer and soil management. Only 5% of NOx comes from transportation (Which includes trucking, farming equipment, trains, planes and automobiles). Of that 5%, under 1% of that

its not.

I agree.. It’s a damn fine company with good cars and the best diesels in the industry.. They screwed up and they will pay, but it’s not their doom by any means..

1st-3rd:

I predict that dieselgate will be forgotten by everyone except auto enthusiasts in less than six months.

How perspectives have changed. A 1980s manual transmission 190E with the fuel injected (carbed = 190, diesel = 190D) 2.0 did 0-62 mph in 10.x seconds. That’s not slow for the era, at all. It wouldn’t even be considered slow in 2015 in Europe for a new economy car.

$25 an hour is well above the median household income in America. Quit whining.

First gear: I may be a bit of an idiot here, but I’m pretty sure when Toyota found out about their unintended acceleration issue they recalled all the cars themselves, for a problem that every car AND floor mat package warned against. 6 people died I’m that case, all in the same car, the first and really only instance

Someone refresh my memory. Did Toyota ever actually have an “unintended acceleration” problem? I thought after all the hype died down and they did a ridiculous amount of research nobody ever actually found anything wrong with the cars.

Buying one of these things used is crazy enough, but FINANCING one would just be next-level stupid.

But if I wait a few months, will there might be an 850hp Porsche that I can buy instead of a Mustang.

Amazing, very sweet movies, and Dean seemed like a swell guy. The best of Disney live action. Let’s not forget the great Buddy Hackett as well.

And to Buddy.
