I don’t know a lot about adventure bikes, but by the time you buy the CB500x for $6,500 or more, and add $3k in mods - would that be better than what $10k would buy you elsewhere?

Not sure if your investments would be recouped.

The stripes can be had on the owners club site as someone now prints them...the wheels can be redone by a guy in Ohio to factory spec and there is a guy in Tennessee who specializes in rebuilding these engines and pulling the HP out that was locked away by ridiculous 70’s emissions regulations....all said and

Isn’t that the normal way to restore any car, spend more than it’s worth?

$3,500 is too much for me to gamble on what could end up being a clean but still vega body in need of an SBC, I’m voting CP personally but I am sure there is enough bow-tie love and risk seekers out there for it to be someone else’s NP

We’ll just load them on to the trailer, and take them straight to auction. Dust, mice nests, patina and all. Let the next buyer worry about fixing it up.

Contrarian editorial: I like U2, and the only thing worse than:

The Land Cruiser 70 is still available today.

Bluebird bus FTW! Basically unchanged for like 40 years. If it ain’t broke...

All you punks saying “hurr de durr Jeep Wrangler next quaystion” have it backward. I love Jeeps enough to have the logo tattooed on the inside of my eyelids (buy me a drink and I’ll show you), but the JK Wrangler is way, way evolved from the YJ that grandfathered it.

Sounds like the same trickle up genius policy in Murka that gives incentives/subsidies to the buyers of 90K cars.

Without any documented evidence that Iacocca was instrumental how do you know it wasn’t just some rumor that grew over the decades? Doesn’t mean that because something is said enough makes it have any basis. Ask any Navy veteran about shipboard rumors.

Can we stop repeating the Pinto myth? It was as cooked up by Mother Jones as 60 Minutes would later do with Audi and Dateline NBC with GM trucks.

Anticipating his move to Chrysler and the dawn of the K car, he wanted to remove the more reliable and sophisticated competition before hand.
