The Torque on demand transfer case is the culprit. Those type of automatic 4x4 systems have all kinds of parasitic loss due to keeping the front axle engaged constantly. The fleet versions get the normal part-time 4x4 system which disconnects more of the 4x4 components when not in use.

Truck styling is hypermasculine, garish nonsense. Appeals to insecure manchildren, I swear...

This system should not exist.

The LX cars from 2011 can’t be classified as being from 2006 just because they continued using the platform. A new exterior and interior along with revised engines (other than the 5.7 Hemi), and the release of the 8-speed auto a few years into it (13 for V6 and 14 for V8?) it’s hardly fair to say it hasn’t been

His guess that it failed in the middle is wrong, leaving the other guesses also wrong. He’s entertaining otherwise, but he’s not a bridge engineer.

I used to work for a brake manufacturer in the auto industry. From casting to finished product takes less than 2 minutes a caliper for a single piston slider on one machining center. A 4 or 6 piston fixed caliper can be machined in about the same time but requires the 2 halves to make a single caliper from a raw

This is not a hero. This is someone frantically trying to buy milk, bread, and eggs with a r129 whose hydraulic top actuators are (typically) broken.

“is resorting to just scrapping some seriously cool cars instead of selling them, and it’s a damn shame.”

He 100% ruined those cars. Now that people aren’t willing to pay the same amount that he bought them for years ago when they actually were worth something, he is having a tantrum and destroying them to stick it to the “lowballers.”

Living reasonably close to Ann Arbor, I see several of his cars pop up in my daily craigslisting. I can always tell when it’s a Ron car. Mostly when it’s cheap but somehow still not worth it. So much of his collection is beyond saving. I don’t need another project, but there exists the chance that he will list

Agreed, David. It does feel like a giant waste. Ron wasted these cars.

Now the 70-year-old is resorting to just scrapping some seriously cool cars instead of selling them, and it’s a damn shame.

Yeah, I’m tired of hearing about this guy. Tracy aspires to be him, that’s why we’re hearing about it, that’s all.

I think I prefer the current look. I don’t really care about aesthetics. I care about getting to the information I want as quickly as possible. When I look at the store, I want to see prices, not giant pictures. And really, only showing one game at a time in the store is pretty terrible.

“You’re positioned like a race car,” Musk said.

I lost it at 5.7L GM.

The updated fascia makes it look like a Chrysler Sebring.

How do the GLS63 or the SVR not fit the same descriptions in the “What’s Weak” and “Final Verdict” section?
