I really don't understand Nintendo strategy. They're trying to sell the Xbox 360/PS3 crowd a machine they basically already own. They really think the public is going to be so completely won over by the gamepad that they'll be compelled to snatch up a Wii U?

That's totally understandable. One of my friends started as a post production freelancer and seemed to be constantly wondering where his next paycheck would be coming from. He's got a full time gig now on a fishing show on Animal Planet so he's got more stability but it seemed like he was a little stressed for a while.

Just read your post on Polygon. It sounds like we're sorta on the same page in terms of "retiring" from video games. I've purchased two games this year, Mass Effect 3, and Journey and have no plans to pick up anything else this year. There's simply nothing else out there that appeals to me.
