You're being ironic, right? Because if so that's pretty funny.

In 20 years Uncharted will look like Pitfall and Call of Duty and Battlefield will look like Atari's Combat.

Re: the dialogue wheel, oh I have no idea but off the top of my head if somebody like Bioware could allowed players to have even more control over the conversation in their games that might help things. Or better yet give players more control over who they could talk to.

That's actually a great idea. I'm surprised nobody's tried that yet.

It's true. Most, if not every action oriented game is predicated on violence as the core gameplay mechanic. Every time a new action oriented game is revealed we want to know about the weapons: what weapons are included, how do they handle, what exactly do they do, etc... It's how we interact with the world we are put

I completely agree regarding the shooting in The Last of Us. Don't get me wrong I'm glad there's a shooting mechanic in the game, though I found it more interesting to learn that there's a way to play through the demo without killing anybody at all.

We are so easily impressed.

Wait...is that Skip from the TV show Angel?

Still there's a part in the demo where one of the cops sticks his own gun in his mouth and blasts away. Seems a bit much to me. They didn't have to do that. He could've handcuffed himself, or I don't know...pantsed himself or pantsed his partner or pastsed the other cops. What I'm trying to say is there could've been

Just finished watching the Heavy Rain 2 demo, excuse me, the Beyond: Two Souls demo and I have to say I found it a bit off putting that the main character is running around killing cops all over the place.

Ah. well that explains it.

I was hoping we'd get to see what next gen texture pop-in looks like. Oh well.

I have no doubt that next gen games running on Unreal 4 will look impressive but I'm more interested in seeing what Naughty Dogs games will look like on the PS4.

Well I'll remain skeptical that Final Fantasy gameplay will look that that good until I see some proof of the game in action.

I feel the same way. Graphically, the "wow factor" is lost on me a bit, but hey if this new engine allows developers to do other amazing things and do them more efficiently then that's great news.

The Luminance engine is far and away more impressive but is it going to be available to other developers?

I mentioned this the other day but it bears repeating that I'd be more excited if a developer unveiled a new game mechanic in an action oriented game that was just as satisfying as shooting but didn't involve shooting, killing or blowing things up.

Here's my take away: the Luminous Engine is indicative of what cut scenes will look like in Final Fantasy games. Unreal Engine 4 is indicative of what actual gameplay graphics will look like.

I know that everybody and their brother uses Unreal 3 for their games but who the heck uses Square Enix's?

Well it's been said for a long time that the graphical leap between this generation and the next wouldn't be as great as it's been in the past and it looks like they were right. Hey-o! Don't get me wrong the demo is very impressive. It's just not beyond anything I expected.
