If only the FTC would bother doing their job with all the other mega mergers they let fly. I guess there’s not enough money lobbying for video games.

It will probably be more enjoyable to watch at a stable frame rate. Seriously, I can’t fathom why they decided to mix 24 and 48fps into one movie. I mean, the movie was... fine. The stupid choice to mix frame rates made it less than fine, bad acting and writing aside.
It’s a bit of a bummer, but not really a big surprise if you work in print or other physical media. Technically you are supposed to replace your physical pantone guide every year which grants you a license for use anyways. While not everyone does this (I usually replace mine about once every two to three years) it’s…
Technically it’s LAB color values and not RGB. LAB color has a much wider color gamut than RGB which is why it is used for Pantone Colors. Pantone to RGB is far from a 1:1 conversion.
I got the HP Reverb G2 recently myself. I’m not the biggest fan of WMR’s interface, but really I don’t bother with Oculus Home much either. WMR works, though not as polished or as efficient as Oculus’s solution. I’ve been using Revive to play my Oculus store purchases on my G2 and most programs I’ve used have worked…

I’m almost expecting a wave of angry Quest fanboy comments about how superior their Nintendo of VR headset is and Facebook is no big deal. I personally agree with you. I’ve been using my Reverb G2 for a few weeks now after feeling burned as a OG Rift owner and bouncing.

Don’t buy a Rift, it’s dead. Just don’t. Facebook has been pushing the vast majority of it’s content and experiences to be Quest only exclusives, an artificial barrier to promote one product over another. They have largely abandoned Rift users who have dedicatedly help build their platform. The Rift is a dead end…

I highly recommend Winix. We have a few of them currently and they are whisper quite while also moving large volumes of air. They have served us well here in the fire ridden state of California. I was just looking into getting another air purifier the other day and was comparing different models. I saw a comparison of…

It’s not like it’s a bunch of absurd Nvidia skus, or even worse, Intel skus. Sure maybe the nomenclature will be confusing for people that don’t know better, but it’s hardly a nightmare. God forbid it's a TV or a stereo or some other product line a company makes 15 different models of each year.
There’s always better hardware around the corner for any part of the building process. Postponing something for the next best thing is akin to feature creep. Sure, if you know a new architecture is going to drop in a few weeks then go ahead and wait, but holding out for six+ months isn’t so rewarding. Besides, a PC…
I agree. It’s nice that the technology is there, but arguably not worth a premium for something that’s hard for many people to perceive. I have similar thoughts about 8K. I have a 27" 4K monitor and I love it, I also do graphic design so the pixel density matters a lot to me. I also love 4K on my 55" TV. While 1080p…

Strange, I don’t recall there being a Typography folder in Apples OS or Windows. You’re right though about the distinction, but it should be Typefaces and Fonts.
Can you make that two fonts larger? Literally get asked this way too often.
This is exactly correct. It's one of those things that I assume people would know, like flipping the latch on your review mirror when some idiot behind you has their high beams on, a trick that blew my girlfriend's mind when she saw me do it.
I have a RX 580 which is comparable to the 1060 and run an Oculus Rift on it. I'm also looking at getting a 2070 super for my next jump in performance. I got the rift to get my toes wet in VR, if I were to buy a headset now I would get the Valve Index. If money is an issue then opt for the HP Reverb or the Samsung…
Death, or as it’s properly called “Rebuy” can be a huge deal in the game depending on what you’re doing. And you don’t simply just respawn, its not like that. If you’re out exploring and your ship gets destroyed you loose every but of discovery and progress you’ve made throughout your journey. That amounts to tens, or…
It seems rather obvious the author either doesn’t play the game or has only played in an extremely limited way.
There’s an entire group of us dedicated specifically to taking pictures, video, and creating artwork for Elite Dangerous. It’s called SPVFA (Stellar Photography, Videography and Fan Art). Check it out.
I think it’s a logical extension that they have a game studio given the fact that they’ve developed their own game engine, Lumberyard. Of course biggest title on it is the stinking pile of problems that is Star Citizen, which only adds to it’s trainwreck.
