That story has already been debunked. A blogger called the YMCAs in the area asking if such an incident took place, and it didn't happen. Such stories only play out in the fantasies of transphobes.

No offense, but if you love language you have to accept that language changes. Female versions of profession names with "ienne" or "ette" or "ix" and what have you are in almost all cases considered to be terribly archaic nowadays.

You're confusing gender with sex. A cis gender man would be a male who identifies as a man. The whole point of using cis is to signify that they are biologically male identifying as men and female identifying as women.
